Keep in mind too if you put a td05 on a 93t and run it at the same boost level you are physically going to be pumping more air into the motor than the td04 was .therefore you will need to get a good tuner to tune the thing and check your a/f ratios across the whole rev range as the compressor map is totally different. When i changed to a t04z on my rz supra the cheapest part of the whole exercise was buying the turbo and it was a brand new hks turbo.By the time
you've spent all that money you could already have a 63t that's going to be better anyway IMO
Its not like you are swapping a to4z in place of a td04, its not a huge turbo. You don't even need a good tuner. The best thing I did to mine was a tdo5 16g, evo injectors and a safc2. Pulled some fuel out on the road and ran mid 12s @110mph. Not laggy at all. I would love to try a twin scroll Evo 4 tdo5hr on a 4g93.

didn't mean it to turn into such an argument lol.
I've decided im going to keep the td04 on there for now, and look into a 63 in about 6 months when im off my Provisional license.
For the cost of what turbo/injectors/fuel pump/afm is going to be worth too me, i may as well spend the extra get the 63 and not have to worry about the motor dying a miserable death, and have a better base if/when i want to squeeze more power out of it.

My theory is that the 63 is going to open up a lot more options too me, plus more parts is hoping going to make it a lot easier.

hmm sah many thoughts lol.

Try and find yourself a 7 bolt then if you want to pull the motor down etc. I think you will find it easier to come across parts. I have a 6 bolt and most aftermarket parts need to come in from the u.s. in saying that with websites such as extreme psi most things can be found
