look ..your stock 4G93t with the tiny TD04 13g isnt going to compete with and EVO III ..so your best bet is to rip that gearbox out and send it to me...

Or get a motec exhaust two bottles of nos a laptop with funky graphs, 15 or so gauges on the dash, neons, ridiculously large wings everywhere, exhaust flamers and 7 inch exhaust tips. Wind 100psi of boost into it and blow the welds off your intake manifold. Then vin diesel will tell you you never had him

get a vr4 14b turbo to retain good response.....stock turbo will just pump out heat if you turn it up. Then the small stock cooler wont keep up

BRIAN
Black evo 1 full road rego and done properly/legally

I have heaps of parts...but never the one I need.

On a serious note, 2.5-3" turbo back exhaust, upgrade to slightly bigger intercooler( maybe even intercooler watersprays), up boost 12-14psi, and check A/R's.

I ran 12.5/12.6's back in 1996-98 with a 95' GSR, leaded cordia turbo, external turbonetics gate, evo intercooler, 540cc injectors, and a UNICHIP. 14psi came in at 3800rpm.

Also totally strip the interior out of the car remove everything that weighs anything including doorcards, carpet, roof lining, passengers seat spare wheel, stereo etc you get the idea, tint the windows so no one can see inside. Geez even the drivers seat if you want to stand any chance and sit on a cushion or a beer crate. Also go on a diet if you weigh anything over 50kg and dehydrate yourself for raceday.
Jokes aside if your on a budget and you want to make your car go faster make it lighter. Cheapest way to increase your power to weight ratio. I used to own a charade detomaso I turned into a racer. With engine work it made 160bhp doesn't sound like much. After it went on an intense diet it ended up weighing 650kg from around 800kg stock. Do the Maths and that is 246bhp per tonne which would put it at a better power to weight ratio than an Evo 3 which is around 217bhp per tonne or so. Obviously the Evo with awd grip and much more torque would still win but the driver would have got a hell of a fright from a daihatsu.

If u want to beat an Evo get either a better Evo a gtr or an rz supra. You'll only beat the Evo with the later two on a straight road

Following on from Brian, the td-04 is your biggest power restriction.
You should look in to the 'Evo Bolt-on' upgrade.
Evo turbo, injectors, ECU, MAF. (all of this is plug and play with the 93t, only thing is you will want to port your exhaust manifold to suit the larger td-05 opening, and modify your exhaust to suit the new dump pipe. Also look in to a fuel pump as well).
Will be the best $800/$900 that you will spend to extract power from the 93t.
Get an ebay Evo 1-3 cooler kit on top to ensure decent intake temps.

You could spend all of your dollars on doing exhaust mods, ecu etc.but you are really pissing in to the wind with the td-04.

Okay once he has all that extra power and torque how does he make it go forward? IMO even a stock 93t is quite a tyre fryer on fwd. also I didn't say if u had an open front diff or a LSD

Ain't that the truth. Weld the diff shut and put some drag slicks on it strip it out like I said and you may not come last. U still won't win mate. It's simple physics really
