The owner is a good customer of mine who very patiently waited for a tune while we moved into our new shop but I couldn't make him wait any more.
He was driving on stock ecu and hitting 5v afm cut while still in vacuum lol , I told him to go get it tuned before he cooked the engine.
A few weeks later he contacted me explaining he wasn't happy with the tune he got done at ****
while chasing a ignition gremlin they decided to upgraded to ls2 coil packs, the miss was still evident so I gapped the plugs down to 0.7 mm from 1.0 mm wouldn't you know it LOL.
once we got it on the rollers we had a look over the tune and it was ummm yeh how can I put this shite to say the least with injector trim on some cylinders and the ignition map was piss weak running 10 degrees on 21 psi 4000 rpm to 6000 rpm , the last guy tuned it using kmon knock monitor which is a good tool to use as a precaution ( we hardly use it) we soon discovered why it was running such a retarded map, it turns out a cooler pipe was knocking against the body registering as knock on the apexi controller and obviously the kmon , 4-5 hours on the rollers and we finished up with a few power runs end result 331kws on the same boost 21 -22 psi.
I'm a big fan of the 60-1 compressor and it seems to be a good match with the TD06H exhaust wheel and it took more ignition timing than we expected

I'm currently running a Kinugawa TD06SL2 -20g in my 2.3ltr 4G63T making a conservative 240kw @29psi. However i was wondering if it was worth my time (if possible) to swap out the Comp Housing and wheel to suit a T67-25g? I believe both the TD06SL2 & T67-25g turbo's use the same 'hot side' so i thought perhaps this was just an easy interchange/upgrade.
What are your suggestions guys?

if you are making only 240kw on 29psi and want more id be going a whole new turbo,

The TD06SL2 20G should be making bit more power than that, my mate got up to 288kw on 28psi with E85 before the turbo ran out of puff

It basically is a brand new TD06SL2 as it has a new cartridge. I just got impatient and started to want moar powah!

You are right about it being able to make more power. I'm hoping for something above the 300kw mark. Btw i'm running on pump not E85...yet.
The sweet spot for the T67 is approx 300kw

If i was to go a whole new turbo for say 300-350kw. What is reccommended/regularly used?

Just had the car tuned with a TD06sl2-25G on the following setup:
FWD
98 RON
Forged 2L (9:1 comp) vr4 engine
GSC 268 cams
Large A2W cooler
Results:
245kw @ 19psi,
258kw @ 22psi,
Full boost is ~ 4500rpm with peak power @ 7000rpm. The additional 3psi doesn’t make a whole lot more “peak” power but the results show a decent amount of additional area under the curve. Power tapers off to 240kw at the 7700rpm limiter. All results on a dynapack hub dyno.
Conclusion:
Certainly decent power but it gets you thinking how half the internet achieves better results with GT2871r’s and Td05 20g’s. I personally would prefer a smaller turbo at this power level.

The engine was running low on ignition advance in the high load areas of the map and therefore limiting the amount of boost we could feed the engine. Additional boost wouldn't have been safe so there was no point pushing any further. Engine wasn't very knock sensitive and IAT never went into the 30's.

I'm FWD so different setup, but as a comparison I got 243kw atw and 430Nm with a td05 20g on a 1.8L.
Obviously yours is making better power given drivetrain loss, but I would have thought on a 2L with higher comp that your torque figures would be higher.
How does it feel on the road? Hows the response?

engine wasn't knock sensitive but running low timing advance? how close to mbt timing?
