sorry to hijack this post but anyone got pictures of what these rims or similar rims would look like on a gsr?

I'd be going with the last of those 3 they would look sik. Keep in mind though the pic of that rim is probably an 18x10 inch rim with about anywhere from 0-+15 offset. They do that so you start frothing at the massive dish!!

Sorry its hard to see, but these are 7.5" on gsr guards with std camber. the tyres are 215/17s. You can see the lip is level with the sidewall on the tyre. there is barely a fingerwidth of room between tyre and strut upright, and tyre is still below bottom spring perch so no advantage with coil overs.

you will need evo front guards to run 8in on fronts

evo front guards have flared wheel arches gsr don't if your running an evo 3 front the front bar will give it away as the flare is quite obvious behind the indicator

yes it's me KHUBNER

Advanced jap autos have guards and front bar for sale.

Bear in mind that i have 17x8.5 rims with +35 offset (running a 215x40 tyre) and they still scrub on my evo front guards when cornering (i.e. when turning and springs are compressed). So don't expect the evo guards to help too much.

Bringing this topic back up.

I have 17 x 8 + 35, Evo 9 Enkies, to put on my Evo very shortly..I will report back once they are on...Im really hoping that they will fit and not scrub with a 215 tyre!

U will have to do a bit of guard rolling in the rear and the bumper tab mod. I had 215/45/17 and they rubbed a bit but if I did it again I would go 215/40/17

That makes me feel a bit better about it...I have previously done the tab mod and ground the guard lips back to level with the spot welds so I might be in luck..Thanks.

Yes. And as I said in the other thread you posted in, they were way too close to the trailing arm, so they were unsafe and not able to be used.
