book now if your looking for a hotel..... its super hard to find somewhere close

there heaps of places withing 30 minutes but i'm cheap and with the drive going to cost about $700 in fuel looking to split accom costs but no one will cement plans. in which case i'll just pack the tent and hit up the closest camping caravan park

Should only take 2 tanks, ur car should get around 600-700klm a tank freeway driving

My point exactly, when referring to a Kenworth.
Must drive with one foot on the brake

most of my driving is city so i am basing my calcs on my city mileage 1/4 got 160km last night

Which equals ~ 640 / tank.
So Mikeys calcs seem a lot more accurate than your original estimate !

meh i'm still budgeting ~900 for the trip fuel accom food and tickets to the event

well it's now official for me i'm definately going booked the hotel and bough tickets tonight so see you bugger down there. now i just gotta make a silencer for the muffler so it doesn't drive me nuts over 10-12 hours

I will be arriving on the 17th and returning to the United States on the 28th.  I have a room for the 17th-19th already, but will need to find a home the rest of the time.
I am working with Andrew Brilliant on his Pro Class Mitsubishi Eclipse doing gearboxes and everything else on the car.

 

I know I have some time to be spent over at PAR doing some stuff with them, but I will have a few days open to catch up with people after the event and am likely staying in the Sydney area for simplicity.

I'll see you there at WTAC Tim. I live about 2-2.5 hours north of the track though and I'll only be down that way for a day.

I'll see if I can get a date booked in for my car to get tuned at Micks Motorsports. If I get a date whilst you're still in town, I'll pick you up and we'll head over there
