They are awesome cars Jack, highly underrated (and unfairly criticized)

I've had mine since new, and it's always been a great car to drive, even in stock form.

I've kept it for sentimental reasons (that I won't go into), but I love it either way.

There's a good one round the corner from me Jack. It's a garden ornament, and has been for years. Looks ok considering. I'll see if I can snap a quick picture on the way past one day. Be cheap if he's interested in selling.

Using an rpm heavy duty, but it does slip with the power it's making now.

Little update on the GTi, decided to fit some bigger breathers and modify my catch can to suit. While I was at it I had the rocker cover powder coated to match, and am now running -10 fittings.

Little pic below...

Looks really tidy mate, nice job. Are you planning to run a timing belt cover?

I have one but to be honest they are a pain to put on without dropping the bolts into the lower cover. And I can't be bothered taking the lower cover off to get them out, so have been putting off re fitting it.

Nice! How does the catch can vent? Or go back to the intake?

I've got another -10 fitting that goes directly into the airbox with a mini filter on the end of the hose.
