Thanks mate, it's a relief to finally have it all finished.

Now I'm deciding whether to go smaller cams or a bigger turbo...

Yeah, bigger is usually better but the lag is what's kind of got me questioning this setup at the moment.
Maybe I'm just being fussy...

Ok so the car has been behaving itself of late, fixed oil and water leaks etc and all seems to be going well so I thought I'd treat it to a wash today.

I also fitted the carbon fibre mirror covers I bought from Malaysia last year, still unsure about them but they are only stuck on with double sided tape so can be removed.

So, after not being happy with the torque delivery I swapped out the big 290/290 cams and went back to stock Satria GTi profile camshafts. I decided to change over to E85 at the same time and took it in to Micks Motorsport last night to fit the 1,000cc injectors and tune.

He managed to get 235kW at the wheels before the clutch started slipping, would have kept making power but the clutch wouldn't let him push it further. Apparently the torque factor is massive in comparison now too which is awesome news!

Hoping to go and pick her up Friday night if possible, can't wait to take her for a spin - but it always seems to rain when I pick my car up from Micks :S

Haven't seen the dyno graph yet but heres a dyno pic from FB for the wank factor...

Good stuff. Mick certainly knows how to get the ponies out of a 4G.

Wank factor appreciated.

Loving the all black and limited bling factor engine bay!

Sorry if it already been mentioned but can you tell me more about how you build that air box?

Mick definitely does know what he's doing EVO-00X, amazing what he can do!

So far everything sounds really good, got a bit of an issue with a/c not working at the moment for some reason (something to do with the Haltech I think), so he's going to check that out for me and check cold start this morning.

Hopefully this weather clears up so I can drive it.

Link to how I made the airbox is below...

Stock I think is like 85kwatw, bolt on turbo about 130kwatw, with the old cams 210kwatw (no torque), now 235kwatw with heaps of torque apparently.

So yeah, bit of a jump here  ^_^

Picked her up tonight and OMG what a difference!

1st and 2nd pulls are crazy and struggle to grab traction even with the 'locked' lsd, then third is just scary.

Overall really really happy with it. The car drives so much smoother, quieter, plenty of go off boost to cog around in traffic and great throttle response.

I had a situation where I was cruising in fourth, dropped it back to third and floored it, grabbed fourth and the clutch just slipped - so we'll need to address that next.

Mick didn't print the torque figures but you can feel that there is plenty there. He basically left the boost where it was with the old tune and threw timing at it. Plenty more in the engine, but I think we are bordering on unusable power now.

Here's some more wank for everyone...
