One of the bushes on one of my selector rods is thrashed to bits and I'd like to replace them both while the gearbox and engine are out.
I remember a while ago someone on here posting a link to some new bushes or complete rods with bushes for Evo 1-3/CC GSR but can't seem to find the post now?
Does the entire rod need to be replaced or can a new bush be pressed into the old rod?

Do you mean at the gearbox end?
If so, I use skateboard bearings in mine.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Yeah at the gearbox end of the selector cable/rod.
Did the skateboard bearings push in ok?

About 1/2 way down the DIY starts. Ive done this also using ABEC-11 bearings. I used 2 next to each other instead of lots of washers like they did.
Heres the ones i bought, might be able to find cheaper

That's awesome, thanks Bryce.
How did you fit two bearings in side by side though? The washer idea seems to make more sense to me...

Didnt have enough big body washers to fit, so i just whacked 2 bearings in there, they are a nice tight squeeze inside the shifter cable end
