At least if you do the 93 you can put some pistons and rods in and pay the machinist and get some boost and a tune.
You can run a na with a turbo but you have to be able to tune it and keep the boost down or you will break it.
ON THE ENGINE STAND. g4cs 2.4l + Gt35r. PLUS: auto conversion + Awd coming.
thanks for parts and help: BMGTZ, EVOCPE, cwolf, Benozi, Jamo-GSR, 1JUM2NV, RXVII..much appreciated, cheers guys.

nice, cheers for that info, saves me stuffing aroundThey were elantra worldwide but here in aussie they were lantra up till 2000 ish.
1.6 g4cr, 1.8 g4cn are in lantra. Sonata had g4cp 2.0. They are all dohc and 6bolt.
G4cs is single cam 2.4 6bolt. But accepts dohc head. It has the 100mm crank to build a stroker 2.0
$300 for full engine here:
http://item.mobilewe...Id=161082184894
i only live down the road from pick a part, so i usually just pull one my self, i'll keep an eye out for something 7 bolt down there
Well aren't proton parts more compatible then hyundai parts? Thats the impression I had, or am i missing something here...
here ya go bro, wikipedia link for sirius engines: http://en.wikipedia....i_Sirius_engine
mitsubishi supplied engines for a few other manufacturers, eg hyundai, now they supply the evo x's 4b11 but they are making some good engines, look at rhys millens hill climb car
but it could work out cheaper to build one from one of the 63's listed, an source inj, manifold an turbo seperately, dunno, that would be research for you to do
no matter which way ya go its gunna be expensive, just rough prices off the top of my head,
machining- $1000 poss. more
oil pump- $400+ oem, dont bother with cheapy's
Belts- $250+
Bearings $100
Gasket set- a/m $300 oem $900+
water pump $100
engine mount- $ god knows!
new front pipe $150
unexpected complications- $500- $800
maybe ya want balane shafts out, forged rods, o/s valves, upgraded h/g,
it can really blow out quite easy, hope it gives ya an idea on what ya up against with a rebuild!

At this rate i think I'll just spend some money on some forged bits from spoolimports and rebuild the 93 i have layin around, wont be reusing the td05 though, will probs put the 13L that we have back on it, or source a 14b. Seems like a 63 conversion will just end up as a half built pile of parts while I'm left with no more $$ to spend on it

$900 for a gasket set? Since when?? I got one the other day for ~ $400. Genuine.
where'd ya get yours? from mitsi au. or ya jap connections?
that was from preston motors mitsubishi on somerton rd, epping,
i laughed at him cos that effin stupid, and i'm sure ya could get it cheaper,
and 3vo, dont get too dismayed, its might just take more time, i was just tring to shed some light on it,
ya can always give the 93 a light freshen up an take a more detailed 63 build over a couple of years, ??
and why dont ya wanna use the td05 again?

i have a forged 6bolt 4g63t in my gsr with evo passenger side engine mount.vr4 loom and ecu.6bolt flywheel and hd clutch. changed the lower engine mounts
(roll stoppers) to ralliart items to compensate for the increase in torque. car has a 3"full exhaust and td05 16g. as the guys have stated aussievr4 has a couple
of 6 bolts for sale for bargain prices. if i had spare cash id buy one to build as a spare.go for it! 6 bolt bottom ends are a bit more robust than 7 bolts and can make big power if thats what your chasing.
imo if i was going 7 bolt id be buying a low km evo3 halfcut so i could swap the drivetrain as well but sounds a bit out of your budget. just my 2c

Otherwise aftermarket ones are cheap these days but require some better wiring to make them run efficiently, Walbros 255 are noisy, Walbro 400 and 450 (E85) are quieter than the 255, Aeromotive Stealths have heard are really good too
If you go aftermarket route, must make sure you buy from a genuine seller, there are alot of fakes out there
