what are if any differences between the rvr turbo auto box and the libero/gsr turbo auto boxes? can the libero box mount to the vr4 4g63t the way the manual box can easily or will it not fit? what about internal differences? I have the IPT rebuild kit along with a 1g converter I got from them. when I originally spoke to IPT they said they hadn't heard of the code from the 93T box w4a331FQ6 vs the rvr code of W4A331FM6 or should I just get a rvr box and be sure and done?

The 1G turbo autos are all the same dimentions.
VR4 has a 3.6 front & 1.090 t/c. underdriven rear by 0.007
RVR has a 3.55 front & 1.074 t/c. underdriven rear by 0.002
I can supply custom auto diffs etc. PM if you are interested.

Mate I think they are pretty much the same. Maybe the gsr auto has a different diff ratio  but either should bolt up or interchange. They will both have the roll stop mounts on the gearbox so thats fine. I would think that the starter plate and starter will swap between rvr to gsr autos. The itp kit should fit ok.This is only bits I have picked up from here and there. Im not a guru on these autos.Oh. I see you are mating to a vr4 engine. In what body? You will have some trouble getting a 6bolt flex plate. (I got a kiggly one) and remember the bush for the back of the crank.Mounts you will have to work out and mod as required. .Good luck

thanks for the replies. the car is a cd5a gsr, tube framed front, all mounts are made from scratch including a new north/south bar, im also going to mount the engine to the front tube and the chromoly front subframe I have since the vr4 block has provisions for it will make it easier if I have to rermove the box in the future. I have the kiggly flex plate and the bush already.

Sounds pretty serious.
I dont think you are building it for time attack. Sounds like a drag build...
Woohoo
Maybe you should chat more to rockabilly. He has some goodies to go in those boxes.

You can use a VR4 or RVR or GSR or LIB auto. No need for box roll stopper mounts if you are roll stopping at the motor instead.
Cheers
