Hey guys I have a 93 lancer cc gsr and I have recently brought a td05 16g and from what I have heard its a straight blot onto the 4g93t I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this conversion and would anything have to be custom made to fit the turbo and would I have to buy any other to components to make sure the turbo fits and runs correctly

I assume it is already a 4693t?
I've done some google work and it looks to me that there are some options for you, however you can't use a 63 manifold on a 93. An easy way to check if it will fit (once again assuming it is already a turbo engine) is to go to repco and ask about the turbo gaskets, if they are the same then that solves the fitment side of things, I honestly don't know if water/oil lines are the same, but some one else who is on this forum will.
If it is not turboed then.....
- bigger injectors
- remap fuel system (unichip, safc, etc.)
- intercooler
- turbo
- cooler pipes
- tapped oil sump
- decomp plate
- oil and water lines teed off the pressure sender
- turbo exhaust manifold and modified exhaust pipe
- fuel pump and pressure regulator depending on boost levels.
- modplate or engineering.
forged internals if you wanting to run decent psi and not pussy footing
Hope this helps.

Have you thought about going for a Kando tdo4 hybrid, It's a tdo4 with a 16g front
http://www.ebay.com....=item43beef6132
Might be worth a look, you could freshen up your turbo at the same time too

To throw the TD05H onto the 93t you will
Need to port out the 93t exhaust manifold to match the TD05H
The water and oil lines wont line up, you will need to either get custom lines or cut and join the TD04L and TD05H lines, the oil drain will work
The dump pipes are different, so hopefully you got the TD05H dump with the turbo
You will need to get your exhaust mated up to the dump
The TD04L intake pipe is too small to fit around the TD05H comp cover
Ummm that's all I can think of
Oh and get a smaller oil filter instead of the Z411, use the Z79A or Z142A

as someone running a td05h on a 4g93 here is my advice to you
take the 4g93 exhaust manifold and port the exhaust opening to match the turbo (you don't have to but it's highly recommended i'm pretty sure mine is not ported)
grab a set of braided oil water line from ebay (max $30)
get an oil filter relocation kit! the tdo5 dump gets dangerously close to the oil filter even with a smaller one it's very tight makes getting it off near impossible.
you will need to cut one of the bolt holes on the wastegate actuator off or it will foul on the block/engine mount and not fit it's tight
you may need a slimline radiator fan
and last of all GET THE OTHER SUPPORTING MODS afm injectors ecu i found the tdo5h to be alittle sluggish on the 93t without the other evo boltons (AND I RAN LEAN in the top end)
i think i have the lower section of the turbo intake if you need the evo one turns out i was running an evo lower with gsr upper the whole time.

Cheers for the help Guys
Khubner I will probably go with everything you said as you have done the conversion already thanks for the help everyone also
do you know if the 560cc injectors from a evo (im pretty sure there from a 6) will fit the 4g93t and can you recommend any ecu's and other eve boltons that will help with conversion and what power figures did yours make with how much boost

i made 180hp in fwd with std 390cc gsr injectors ecu and afm with evo td05h16g @ 15psi (boost creep) now i'm not sure i havn't been back on the dyno yet
i recommend evo 1-3 possibly 4+ 510cc injectors and evo/ tr/ts magna 609 afm(just go to a wrecker and ask for a 609 labeled air flow meter they will have them should be no more than 75 bucks) with evo 1-3 ecu all of this will be direct bolt on/plug in mods (with the exception of the afm which will need the evo intake piping to suit due to the 609 having an oval shape connector)
another suggestion is when getting the injector take them to be professionally cleaned and tested prior to install this way they'll be at their best when you put them in

Thanks I was just looking for one
so if I install the evo 3 or a later evo ecu would I need to get it reflashed in order to gain the full befits of all the new mods or would it be much easier to buy a after market ecu and get a full tune

The idea of useing the evo ecu along with evo 609 afm 510cc injectors along with the td05 16g is to get the full benefits of the turbo without the need for extra costly tuning etc.
This path is intended as direct swap and go no need to fiddle just connect it all up.
I forgot to mention that my recommendation were in addition to evl20t's you will need to alter the first flange on the exhaust to match the evo dump as the have different bolt locations. They use the same flange just at different angles.

Depending on which ecu you use...the thermo fan may or may not turn on by itself, is something everyone has missed.

I didnt miss it jamo, all he asked was throwing turbo on
560cc inj are from evo 4-9. If u want to use them then u will need to get a tunable ecu
U can always bay and chip your gsr ecu and write a new eepron to suit your mods but an aftermarket ecu is always better in my opinion, youll be able to get the full potential out of the setup

So why downgrade.
He has the e4-e9 injectors.
Turbo will be compatible.
Just get a later evo ecu and matching maf and use evoscan.
Bigger fuel pump and awaaaaayyy

Yeah.
If its cheap its involved and hard.
Expensive means it works but subject to dissatisfaction and having to redo it anyway

I thought I had a screwed up thermo switch or rad fan I plugged a aus 93t ecu and didn't know the fan doesn't come on alone until my car over heated is there any solution to this besides changing ecu's or constantly driving with aircon on?Depending on which ecu you use...the thermo fan may or may not turn on by itself, is something everyone has missed.
