Get on import monster, can become abit expensive once shipped but there is tonnes on there, I got a near brand new one for around $300 shipped

It started pushing water at the last track day so I finally removed the head and had it hardness tested, it failed miserably so got stuck into my spare, wa not a bad thing as my port job on the last head was not the best, anyway this time round I am happy with it :)

all back together, car sounds very good now, cyl comps all even across the 4, tune hopefully next saturday, first race meet feb 15 all going to plan :)

What is this cylinder head hardness test involve?

Good its going again.

it would be interesting to see if filling the old head with kerosene would show the porosity or leak area. Kero is what I use for checking if the valves are sealing properly. (Bit in the port while head is off car and on bench)

not sure mate they have some gadget that tests it, I did notice a very small dimple at the spots tested, it is from overheating I beleive, the head that was on the car was so soft the headgasket dented it where the stopper ring is :blink:
