just get your stock one balanced and cleaned up
Just remember to seat the thrust bearings correctly before final assembly and make sure you size up the bigends of your rods for
correct clearances or you will have thrust bearing failure (crank walk)
Are you changing rods too??

If you worried that much, after getting it checked over you can always get the crank nitrated

Well the problem is i just bought a forged evo 3 motor from a mate to chuck into my gsr. All he's told me was that it needs a new crankshaft because the old one cracked..

Sounds like you need more than a crank. I'd get someone to dissassemble and inspect the entire bottom end

tell him bring it round.....also tell him I will give an opinion...my opinion. That is do it right...do it once...DONT cut corners...do it yourself....if you cant do it yourself make sure the person doing it KNOWS WHAT THE FUxK they are doing.

where did the engine come from?

I will look at it with the sump off .....so take that off before you come
