Alrightyyy back to it.
Used the big vice to press in the ARP studs
all done
and then I couldn't figure out how to get the hub and bush out with the small press at work so i just took it down to the guys at Fulcrum Suspension and they fixed it all up for me.
Got it all fitted up with the new hardrace camber arms and braided brake lines.
Because I'm running the ARP extended studs, I needed to chop the little caps off the wheel nuts for the standard Evo 7 wheels
Rear fitment with 235/45/17 tyres on the Evo 7 wheels
I took it for a few drives and could hear this horrible bang from the rear end. The diff bushes are FUUUCCCKKKEDD

Hence my previous question.235/45/17 would be getting awfully close to the trailing arm I would think.

Got the 2 diff support bars out,
The rear bar bushes where pretty drooped
New bushes in
Now the front bar is cracked in the middle on both sides
I've gotten the bushes replaced in the front support bar but I'll have to weld up the cracks before i fit it back into the car.

There were a couple more cracks in the front bar then I first saw, so i seam welded both sides and painted it blaaaack
I didn't get any pictures of trying to put the rear bar in but fuuuuuuuuuuuck what an asshole of a job, had to drop the whole subframe to get it in.
only got this pic of the of the diff dropped down
Taking it for another wheel alignment tomorrow,
will be getting
Front
Camber - 3.5* neg per side
Toe - 1mm out per side
Rear
Camber - 1.5* neg per side
Toe - 1mm in per side

Also ordered a Sparco 6 point harness, Sparco gloves and Sparco racing shoes.
Made up some 5mm plates 65x65 and welded a 7/16 nut on one side for the under seat harness mounts.
I'm going to need to get a proper racing seat to install the harness properly as the Recaro doesn't have the hole in the bottom of the seat.

If you stick with a factory seat you might as well stick with a factory seatbelt.

Got the seat all mocked up and made some seat rails and made some harness mount plates.
Also thought it was a good idea to get a few fire extinguishers, mounted them up on the LH side floor.
Swapped out the tyres off my old wheels to the new evo 7 enkei wheels, had to get a few wheel alignments to get it right.
Finally on Wednesday I loaded up and went out to Willowbank.
First session out and I was quicker straight up, 1:06
As of the last session I managed a 1:03.37sec. That's pretty good considering a 300kw evo was doing 1:01
My app that I was using said I did a 1:02 and reckons I could do a 1:00
I was having quite a bit of problems with understeer early/mid corner, I'm pretty sure these tyres are rekt now and the coilovers might be a bit soft for the track work.
