It's doing well. It's not really the cheapest one there was, it was about $300 or so when I got it.

I also have 2 thermo fans that come on at about 85°C so it didn't get over about 90°C on the day I think.

this is what my set up looks like, like I said it does not fit 100% and I needed to use parts off a 2g but overall I am happy with it.

Same as mine. Will take a while to bed in, bit clunky for a while. Very happy with mine though, worth every cent.

Big update. kind of.

so I did have to pull the gearbox out again to install the Kaaz LSD.

Gearbox All apart

2bIZbo.jpg

LSD with the speedo gear on

8xgO6V.jpg

Ring Gear with New Kaaz bolts.

P3fSvG.jpg

with that all together I turned to the transfer case that was filthy oily.

ywB8EF.jpg

nice and cleaned up.

ZA6n2z.jpg

I sand blasted, got some AN-8 fittings welded in and Painted the rocker cover RED!! with blue writing. also got AN-8 fitting welded into the catch can and AN-12 from the catch can to the intake pipe to open up the breathing of the crankcase.

4b8lWQ.jpg

after all this effort i went out to Queensland Raceway Clubman circuit for a few sessions and eventually cooking my brakes (Brake fluid mainly), according to the S15 behind me my brakes were on fire!

I did manage a 67sec but I'm sure i could shave a few seconds of that time.

https://youtu.be/ieICzGDQyDE

So after cooking my brakes I find the my front left wheel bearing is Fkkkkkkked and I'm guessing it has been since I've had the car because its always been really hard to push it around and even drive.

It was decided that Brembos were the next upgrade.

I bought DOUGMO's Evo 4 lightened knuckles and some Brembos from another guy from down south, couldnt help but dummy fit them up

bZypVw.jpg

Ordered some DBA4000 320mm rotors for evo 4-9

IsKHiv.jpg

Ages ago i bought some braided lines but didnt get around to installing them so i thought now was a great time to install

IsKHiv.jpg

Test Fitted the Prot GT wheels just to see if they actually fit

5UEVCQ.jpg

was laying under the back of the car and noticed the bung in the boot was out and looked in the boot to find I'VE BEEN RACING WITH A SPARE TYRE IN THE BOOT!!! shit....

5xKV7M.jpg

I am currently mid way through doing the rear 5 stud swap, I've got the trailing arms out I'm just waiting for the ARP extended studs to come to finish it off.

I have also completely stripped the interior because racecar now.

I will be getting a harness and maybe a roll cage some time but that will probably be next year.

Very good update.

I can't believe that the track scrutineering process didn't find your spare wheel!

Because I have only been doing the midweek sprint series they don't really do a scrutineering check on the cars.

It is coming along nicely,

Got the interior all stripped out, haven't decided if i want to pull the door cards off just yet.

lQ4CnA.jpg

Had to buy some new wheels for the 5 stud swap so i got some Evo 7 Enkei mesh

ywEQLv.jpg

Currently just got some shit tyres on them at the moment  but will change them out to the rs3 when its all back together and ill have to take it for a wheel alignment as well, the wheels sit quite flush though so its good

YZCIfQ.jpg

Got the trailing arms out

Xo90Ne.jpg

ofDWn2.jpg

I couldn't bash out the front bushes so ill take them down to work and press them out

Bought some new Evo 4-9 rear wheel hubs that came with the bearings on them but obviously they don't fit so had to remove the bearings

YJRXcL.jpg

IEBHxB.jpg

BvAuPy.jpg

the inner race of these bearings are an ass to get off as well cause there is not much of a lip to get the puller under it

thtUw8.jpg

and as i was working on doing all this, the postie rocks up with a package!

nYSV7r.jpg

Removed the studs out of the hubs

c7KiOI.jpg

and ill have to take these down to the workshop to press in the ARP studs cause bashing the shit out of them doesn't work so well.

The short ones only just fit past the dust covers on the front. I think there is Buckleys chance of getting long ones past

As Jack said, you would have no chance getting an extended stud in there and a standard one would be cutting it close.

It just means new bearings etc required also as the bearings technically shouldnt be split and Reinstalled... Based on some bearing documentation I read somewhere...

And the bearings aren't cheap either..

I think if you couldn't pull the hubs, you could loosen the driveshaft nuts. Push car back and forth a bit to loosen bearings, then the hubs will be loose. Maybe enough to get studs past. Just need to retighten shafts after.

The rear bearings for GSR/Evo 1-3 are only $100 for both.
