^I gotta couple too, at least ya know that can be sorted relatively easy,
might have a p/s pump somewhere too, let me know if ya need me to go for a dig

can you see if you have any of the inner water pump pulleys?

jack- I looked up all of the hyundai alternators in the books and they all seem to be different in dimensions.

what I can't find is any rvr numbers, does anyone have any oem numbers for them?

I managed to get back onto the guy I got the big pulley off and got the smaller one off him last night.

got them both mounted up and from what I can see the small pulley goes on the back and the big one goes on the front of the water pump.
the power steering belt goes on the small pulley on the back and the alternator goes on the bigger pulley and the front pulley on the harmonic balancer.

I looked at my 6bolt earlier, it is rigged the way you were trying to do it the first time. If the 7bolts followed the awsomeness of the 6bolts and kept the same rigging, then you may have been misled on the last page.
Do you need the pulley/mount offset measured on the altenator i have for a 6bolt? Im not sure its the same as what you need.

yes a measurement from the outter face of the pulley to the front foot would be handy

Okay so I seem to be doing something wrong????

9z22Bb.jpg

this is a oem replacement MD190819 90A Alternator.

7RU3Fb.jpg

it looks like I need to cut 9mm out of that block knob?

Got a photo of the alternator mounts?

The only thing from memory that was different from a 6 bolt to a 7 bolt regarding the fan belt area was: Power steering pump runs a V-belt on a 6 bolt (vr4) and Ribbed belt on 7 bolt (evo1-3), everything else should be the similar if not bolt on swaps..

Hyundai Sonata 2lt (7bolt 2lt n/a and 6 bolt 4G64) had very similar alternators at one stage, but even those are getting hard to find...

Aircon belt uses pulley closes to the engine (harmonic balancer larger diam)

Alternator/Water pump uses pulley furthest away from the engine (harmonic balancer smaller diam)

Power steering uses pulley behind the water pumps main pulley

52mm. Thats to the inside of the foot. The block side.

the ally front housing is 30mm to the inside of foot.
front edge of pulley to front of housing is 22mm.

i have a ce g69 2.4 alt here. Its same same but its pulley to housing is 35mm. It has a 13mm extra in the pulley. Its a deep dish pulley. Lol

this is the alternator mount?
or are you talking about the alternator legs?

I can get brand new items so I'll look up the sonata again in the morning.

I have that picture as a reference and that's how it looks to be how it's ment to be.
