Little update on the evo4 been busy the last few months
Iv put in some new coilovers tein super streets, had a re tune as I was suffering
Cold start issues and recently replaced the clutch as my twin plate
Was well and truly shagged and slipping like a bitch car pulls extremely hard now

Well thought I better give an update as I havnt been on the forums for a while
I never thought it would lead to where I'm at now but on a trip home from work my crank shaft decided to
Snap on number 3 jernal so I thought what the heck might as well go for a full ams 2.3l build once it was finished I had it
Tuned at micks Motorsport and it made a healthy 300kw atws on
98 and 24psi I was going to go with e85 and a flux fuel sensor but was running
Low on funds as some of you would know what a rebuild of this stature costs! anyway hears what
The build ended up consisting of:
-2.3l AMS stroker kit
-Manley Crankshaft
-Manley turbo tuff rods
-JE Spec. Custom made Pistons
- Crank & Connecting Rod Bearings
-Race Balance Shaft Kit
-ARP Main studs
-Head studs (h11)
-Mitsu gasket set
-Machining/balancing
-Acl race bearings
-Balance shaft elimination.
-Ported Head
-HKS Lifters
-HKS Valve Spings & Retainers
-HKS 272 Cams
-AEM Adjustable Cam Gears
-Gates Timing Belt
-New water pump
-New Genuine cam sensor
New fluids (coolant/gearbox oil/transfer case oil)

Didnt it have 300kw on the old setup (according to your first post)
Surely with this new setup it would have more power than the old setup?
I dont get it??

I was pretty shocked too when it made 300 again especially considering before hand it only
Had a stock crank, although I never did see a dyno sheet I was told by a previous owner that it made 300 so
It may never have made that power in the first place, gues ill Never know, our first estimate on the new build was that
It would make around 350kw depending on the condition of the turbo (as its not brand new) still happy with the out come though
And the motor should be bullet proof from now on

Little update on the car a few things have changed. Iv got some
New plates coming finally after dealing with the crappy yellow which was always going to
Be temporarily there. Also had my wheels painted mat black love the outcome, I'm going to get the c spanners out and low it alittle more, also in the works I'm removing my rocker cover and turbo manifold and sending it down to high octane to be ceramic coated I'm going gun metal for the rocker and grey or chrome for the t manifold, also ordered an ams plug cover which should look good. Got some
New bushes on the way for my rear diff and Finally I'm about to order my new injectors plus and e flux sensor and send it off to be retuned on e85.
