Cheers fellas

And I should have a good 8psi actuator kicking around
Maybe swapsies?
Is it a 1.2 bar actuator?

I dunno if you would want to swap. This one had bent canister and I unpicked it and straightened it and put it back together.
It doesnt leak tho. Just doesnt look perfect
My money is on a 1.2. I was using boost tester up to 1.0 and I didnt notice it move. (Didnt actually watch it tho)
Up to you.
I couldnt work out why the ebc was going into alarm all the time with the alarm at 1.0. Silly me, maybe I need the spoon

Can you send a picture of it?
I'm not too worried if its a bit damaged

I tested this one and it starts to move at 8psi.
Maybe the boost solonoid is poo
Sorry chris. Thanks for reply, but this one would be no better for you either.

we talking the stock solenoid cause it's meant to introduce a boost leak. to increase boost pressure it's supposed to be closed when no electricity is applied and open when there is

It connects manifold pressure to the actuator?
There is no bleed to atmosphere option?
It is a on/off tap that is off during normal operation?
When power is applied via the ecu, boost pressure travels through the solonoid to the actuator?
It doesnt leak boost but may hold it back until the ecu requires it?
I will log the wg solonoid operation as I am not sure of the way it works

ok this is how it should be plumbed (if it's a stock 2 port)
takes turbo boost pressure from the j pipe
goes into a T piece one port of this T piece goes to the wastegate
the other goes to the factory solenoid
the remaining port of the solenoid is then plumbed back into the intake before the turbo
the wastegate should NEVER see vacuum it does not get connected to the manifold
should be something like this

Mine is nothing like that, but my wrx turbo has many of those bits.
Mine has manifold pressure into the solonoid, then the output of the solonoid goes to the wg.
Yours makes sense to tho
