so, I've been making good ground with the gti to 63t conversion, only to find the water pump needs replacing!
I haven't worked on an evo engine b4, so I need a confirmation, or not, regarding the auto tensioner removal. I'm following this, http://www.vfaq.com/...ingbelt-2G.html , as my guide.
Now, at point 12 it says to insert a small pin when the 2 holes are aligned and then back off the tensioner tool. I don't have the tensioner tool, however the 2 holes are already aligned.
My question is - can I continue to remove the auto tensioner and get away with not getting the tool, or, am I missing something altogether?
