Hey guys, massive news!!

Gavin from M.S.G Automotive i n Varsity Lakes Gold Coast who owns a few RVR's has just made a phone call to one of the head guys from KYB Victoria who has spent the last 6 hours researching to find out as much as he can about the best shocks and suspension setups for the N23W RVR.

What he's come up for the rear shocks is the KYB part: 343262 which is designed for the 7 seater American Mitsubishi Expo or Eagle Summit.

This is perfect for our RVR's which already have lowered springs because the stroke is 30mil shorter, it has 30% higher rebound than standard and 22% extra compression.

Cost is around $150 per side.

Apparently he will be designing 3 suspension setups for our cars, which would include a small upgrade, middle upgrade for street performance and a major upgrade for track performance.

And once this has been achieved this information will be transferred onto their main KYB website.

So for those of us who dont want to use pedders and dont know what to order from overseas this should be the perfect upgrade when lowering our cars! :)

We've got the 2 sets they had in stock being sent up to QLD ASAP. I run stock standard rear KYB's now plus a set of RSR springs so ill let you know what the difference is

Cheers, Lars

Good onya Lars!
I'm thinking of making up a pair of hat section lengths for my RVR front. (A arm setup)
Not a bolt up. A weld in job just above the bottom door hinge & near the strut tower.
If anyone wants any, I'll knock up some more.
Cheers

Oh well there you go.... I'll ask the question.

Apparently he wants to set up a stage 1, 2 and 3 upgrade.

Rockabilly, sounds good mate, but what will that achieve?

the front has strut inside compressed spring

the rear spring is seperate setup to strut, does not appear to have room for a bump stop

I recently replaced my shocks with KYB 335034 front and 343384 rear. I am still running stock springs, I wanted to go a little lower, but I cant seem to source any springs that are not Pedders.

Sorry to hijack the thread, all this suspension talk has got me excited.

Any ideas on where to look?

Yahoo Japan Auctions are listing around 200$ for a set + freight

use google then "translate page" and search N23 RSR

http://translate.goo...pv=210&es_sm=93

if you can't get a good translation and aren't 100% it is a full set

a] buy my RVR it has them

b] contact audioexpress brisbane, he can source rare jap spares even NOS

c] use the "import monster" service linked to Y.JP

Question, What ended up happening with this? Do you have any part numbers for a full sports suspension package?

What lowering springs are you guys using on the rear?

My HSG has stock Evo 9 springs with some custom matched K-Sport adjustable shocks in the rear. I want to go a little lower but not sure what the best option is.
