Before you ask yes im car is 5 stud and im currently running with te37's that are 17 x 7.5 with 42+ offset.
Will the evo 7 enkeis 17 x 8 38+ fit okay? or do they stick out ? even better if someone even has a pic of there early evo / gsr with these wheels will be great!

Its the rim that gets close not the tyre...so no...stretch will do nothing to help you.

they will sit about 2mm closer to the trailing arm compared to now (which must be fairly close?) and stick out about 10mm further

You want Evo5/6 rims. They're 0.5" narrower than the Evo7 rims.
