Hey guys
I was pulling apart my turbo to fix a vacume leak on my actuator and I find not the standard td04 turbo you find usually but a A/R60 M42 1-2 ... Does anyone have any info about these turbos?

What supporting mods should I need ?

Did a quick google search and it appears to be a ball bearing t28?? Is it on a standard manifold? Because they have a different bolt pattern to our Mitsubishi manifolds.

Could be one of those cast manifolds off eBay that suit a 93t and have a t25/28 flange???

2G DSM motors have a t25 with the mitsi style flange so maybe its a turbo that is used as a upgrade for them

I'm on a iPhone -_- don't know how to post a pic

But there's a custome plate fabricated to fit the stock manifold.

How's it go with the t28?

Have you got any pics of the adaptor to run the t28 on the standard manifold?

Goes pretty good ... Can only run it 13-14pouds before it starts missing

It looks like they pretty much chopped the one from te tdo4 and welded it onto the t28

What supporting mods should I be looking for ?

Still probably wouldn't go much higher on the boost on a stock bottom end though.

If its a 93 with a bigger turbo, supporting mods, at the risk of repeating earlier posts, would be

- MAF (std mod is 609 or 055, but there are others, just depends on how much research you want to do),

- injectors (again std mod is 510cc EVO1, not sure how much bigger you would want to go on a 93 since you are limited on what power you can make until you do something about the bottom end),

- FMIC (if you haven't already got one),

- exhaust (2.5 to 3 inch seems to be the consensus)

- chip, ECM link is highly rated

- limit boost to 14 -15 psi if you want the motor to last, some forum memberes have gotton away with a lot more for extended periods but its a big gamble..

I'm no expert, this is all gleaned from the forum, but I think the info is pretty spot on as its seems to be working for me (with just a FMIC, ECM Lite & exhaust I've picked up 38 kw atw on a stock 93 and I haven't finished yet!)

Thnx man heaps of good info

To my knowledge these are the current mods
3"dump
3" catback
It does have a front mount but I think it's stock
It has a adjustable wastegate actuator so I can dial in the boost
So all I'm missing is a chip,ECM ?

Get one burnt from meek.
I can socket your ecu (so a chip plugs in) and I have a evo 609 maf.

I would look at the evo4-9/3g maf. They dont need piping mods and outflow the evo/gsr maf. If you are going to meek ask if a later maf is ok.
Vr401 on here can burn chips too. Ask him.

Dont forget injectors. There is a link to some on ebay, in the ebay bit.
