lol, i've never driven a late model evo, are they that bad? haha
Not bad at all, just very different.
Active diffs, ecu's controlling ecu's. You can drive and turn the wheel, and all of the witchery will talk to all components of the car to make sure the car turns without losing traction.
These comments are generally made on the aesthetics.

so the little black evo/gsr now has a new home & will be getting built up for drags & some circuit duties
it has been down to racetorque and came back with a clean bill of health with even compression on all cylinders, so now its time for a turbo upgrade, it already has a metal head gasket & head studs & was tuned for 1.6 bar on the td05
i've heard good things about the forced performance turbo's, anyone got any experience with these?
my mate wants to retain the original dump & interccoler piping & keeping it internally gated
any suggestions for a turbo that will give it approx 250kw atw?

FP turbos are good. Their biggest advantage is they make direct bolt turbos e.g. will fit up to the OEM manifold.
Downfall is their price. Poor Aussie dollar and shipping is usually a killer.

okay so we've priced up an FP black with manifold, ticked all the extra's like porting & hi temp coating, fitting kit, oil line etc, came in at $1900 delivered, may not worry about the ht-coating, saves $200, not a bad price i thought, shipping cost is $240
You will pay gst on that unless you ship them seperated into less than $1k packages.

yeah after a bit of research i've convinced him to go with the fp green, should be plenty
much better idea on a standard 2l...might need e85 to get a nice fat midrange.
