I was looking on carsales today and noticed 52 gsr's for sale. i figured was a typo but apparently Mitsubishi have replaced the hatch back models and gone with just the gsr model. Kind of sucks that they didnt make it awd turbo to live up to its previous name :(

Every non Evo CJ that I have driven has been absolute arse.

Wonder if the block can easily be used for a late model 2.6L stroker

W....T......F!?!?!

If it was a choice between owning one of these and giving myself a circumcision with a spoon, I'd start making my way to the cutlery draw immediately, while there I'd grab out the egg beaters and give myself some rectal surgery as

well, at least I can then say it was what I wanted.  The cars we get offered in this country are such a joke!  It's like eating packet noodles out of a paint tin while starring through the window of a 5 star restaurant.

Every other western country has better cars on offer than we do, but we still pretend we have choice.............sigh.

Where's the "GRAN" "SPORT" "RACE" in those cars?

Seems they just wanted to slap a fandangle sporty name like "GOT" "SOME" "RICE" to it and throw the words "Mivec" and "Ralliart" in there to shift these ugly things off our showroom floors.

I think those rear ends were hideous from day 1 and they are still hideous today lol.

But on paper those new 2014 Lancers can do 0-100kmh in 9.1 seconds with an NA 2.4 Mivec engine with 125kw.

Our 1994 GSR Lancer turbo did 0-100kmh in 7.8 seconds with a 1.8 turbo and 140kw.

Our GSR's from yesteryear didn't make that much more power than the stock NA cars of today.... but our GSR's are AWD with a turbo and are 20 years old!! They were quite impressive when they were released and far more deserving of the "GSR" badging.

Kicks its butt how? Modern cars are a strange universe. People buy them and dont realise how to drive them. That ryhmes! Technicaly... I think.  I was surpised to find that the swift was really good at overtaking. Suprised, because no one else knows how to use an accelerator or rev above 3 grand.

And dont get me wrong. It is not the most powerful small engine, but compared to what used to be and what many others are selling now, 100kw out of 1.6 is nice. But then there is this: I didn't pay for my swift. Had I paid for it, I would have given it back.

Why are you complaining about the new lancer range.... we have a modern day GSR, it is called the lancer ralliart.

the old GSR was a dumbed down evo 3, and the ralliart is a dumbed down evo 10.

Must be plenty of poo punchers out there, the fucking things are everywhere over here now. Maybe the Arabs can drop an LS3 through the windscreen of one, it'll look good flat and smashed.
