Decreasing lobe seperation should shift the peak power to a higher RPM, but usually you'd be pulling timing from your ign map in this area to deter knock. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Valve timing on the other hand is fixed, unless you're running retrofitted MIVEC like some of the crazies

Yep, and rougher idle. I wasnt sure that -3 +1 was increasing or decreasing lobe seperation.Decreasing lobe seperation should shift the peak power to a higher RPM,
