What do you mean the whole rev limit?? does it stop on 1000rpm, 2000rpm, 3000rpm, 4000rpm, 5000rpm etc etc??

yes it limits every rev like 1500k 2000k 2500k pretty much the whole range it limits it but when i press my foot down i can move up so pretty much it doesnt hold it. Its so weird. Do you think its cs like Rockabilly said the tacho wire doesnt like sharing and i have to put resistors?

Put this in your white tacco wire from the ecu going to your item that needs a true tacco pulse feed

Ive tried to do this but its still not giving the right rpm signals this is what i did

It will correct the rpm count if used on the ecu tacco wire. I don't know what your source is there.

my source is the distributor. So it only works on ecu?

Put a tacco on the wire you used. See if a tacco reads right with that wire 'without the resistors'

Can't you find the ecu tacco wire to use ? If a tacco reads right from the ecu tacco wire, you don't

need resistors. If it reads double & crazy, then you use the resistors. That's all I can advise you.

Use a multi meter on to Continuity, that's the beep mode

 

The put 1 wire on the wire your checking at the distributor and use the other wire on the ecu pins, when it starts beeping then you know that's on the same circuit and would be the Tacho wire

It reads crazy when theres no resistors but it doesnt make any difference with the resistors its so weird.
