I don't remember trying to sell it to anyone as we where planning to bring it back out, it was in storage at my parents property for the last 3 years.

 

Cant wait to see it going at the track Rob, sign me up as a pit bitch too. you need to beat a 9.8 @154MPH which with the auto you will do it easy.

 

The biggest problem we had was drive shafts snapping which the auto will make a huge difference to this.

 

I still laugh every time I think about how me and Rob changed drag cars lol.

 

I will call you Rob as I need another wheel alignment for my IX as I have all the RaceFab parts in now mate.

what kind of power were you running to put it into the 12s ? , the drag gsr galant im building has to hit 12s to qualify. Its 2.3 stroker 20g turbo for now , probably running around 25psi

Pretty sure that's the drag setup he had when he ran 9s, only reason he ran a slow time is no traction... you can hear it spinnin in every gear

It was less than 50 percent throttle etc.

In fwd mode its a lot harder to get traction down etc.

Power to weight is the key, im guessing 200kw at the fronts should run 110 plus mph

hmm if so i'm gonna shit brick the first time i unleash 200 AWKW. slowing down from 100mph was scary enough

we will be making over 200kw at the wheels and are total stripped out and setting up suspension for drags. This is the first time me or my mate will be doing proper drag racing , its hard to find info of fwd drags in australia , were just doing it to be different. Aim is to get into the 10s eventually

Will be good to see a fast fwd 4g, I tried but couldn't get traction! 13.2@119mph

My fastest time when I was FWD was 13.1 @ 106mph, that was all stock EVO2 engine and on 16psi

Its alive!!!! I fired it up on friday and its running now, getting tuned this week and hoping for a baseline 450 hp at the front wheels to start off with.
