Jamboree was a blast I did 6 passes for the day

Going good then. I see you thought 11.5 @118, you are pretty close to bang on with the terminal so obviously happy with that. Are you happy with the 1.7 60' or do you think its got 1.5s to get you into mid 11s?

I bet its crazy loud without a turbo on it.

I know a mid 11 is definately on the cards, the gear box ratio is way too tall as I am crossing the line in third.

And my driving was very rusty as I didnt see the shift light all day LOL.

Im using a locked GSR gearbox, so my next goal is to fond a close ratio FWD box.

It really needs to be in 4th gear crossing the line.

Out of a small engined light car. I think the gti protons had a cr box but they are the weak ones.
The usa guys talk about the turbo fwd boxes being good and strong. I dont know if we get them in anything other than cb lancer turbo fwd.
But, one of the things about these boxes is the bigger flywheel with more teeth. I have a bigger flywheel on the back of a sonata 2.0 dohc engine. So I think maybe the sonata had the stronger box (but no roll stop mounts)

How about a CB GSR box. Would need some strengthening but ratios should be good.

All Motor record has been re-written!!

 

 

GSR Lancer Turbo AWD ratios are listed in column "P" in the attached pic. Its the ratios of what you are currently running (AWD box locked to FWD).

 

The attached PDF document is the FWD and AWD gearbox manual. It has codes and final drive ratios, also which cars the transmissions come from in it.

It's not comprehensive, but its a good start. Hope it helps.

These ones are from the CC Lancer Coupe, Sedan, Wagon and Hatchback (Proton Satria) workshop manual.  

It doesn't list them all, but it at least gives you some numbers to look at to see if there are any FWD offerings you can concoct ratios with lol

Thanks for all the info Rob, you are a legend!!!

Now after some light reading I am going to try

evo 3 front diff ratio and at the track my 24.5 tyres and also I have a pair of 22's as well.

With the 24.5 tyres and a GSR ratio of 4.9333 in 3rd I am crossing the line @117mph 8800 which is what I am doing now

With the shorter diff ratio of 5.443 and my 24.5 tyres I will be crossing the line at 7300 in 4th(getting better)

With my 22 inch tyres and the 5.443 I will be crossing the line at 8100 and with room for more hp I should be able 

to trap 130mph@9000 and [email protected] on moles!!!!!

Moles are cool. In fact I can relate to them because just last Friday night when my Mrs got a bit drunk and frisky, I ended up in a tight moist hole too!
