Hey guys im trying to install a rev limiter on my 93 Galant HJ. Would anyone have the ECU pinouts specific for this car because ive tried heaps of ecu diagrams like the Evo III and Mirage because apparently they have the same pinouts. Im assuming i need the Crank Angle sensor and the RPM signal from the ecu.

Ive tried to connect them from the distributorn just to test it cs i know theres a crank angle sensor there and also a rpm signal and i got it to work but it doesnt functionn properly. Whatever rpm i set it to limit it it doesnt work at all. It cuts in the whole rpm range but it doesnt hold it. Like if i press on the gas halfway it will limit the revs at a certain rpm but if i press my foot more then it will go up the revs so obviously it doesnt hold it like it should. Do you guys think i got the wrong rpm signal wire?

Appreciate any help guys Cheers

Does the fact VR4 is wasted spark ignition cause your problem?

I think what causes the problem is that ive got the wrong wire for the rpm signal causing it to disfunction and so it doesnt know the actual rpm of the car. I have no way f finding it from the ecu ca i dont have any wirin pinouts for it.
