Hey Girls and Guys.

On the look out for a weekend crusier.
Wanting to buy ether a CC GSR with EVO Running Gear, EVO 1, EVO 2, EVO 4, VR4 Jap Spec or VR4 Aus Spec with Jap Spec Bumpers.

After a turn key and drive package, not after anything that needs any major work done.

Got a budget of $0-$12,000.00. Will be looking at the EVO 4 and Aus Spec VR4 that are on Gumtree sometime next week.

EVO 6 is out of my range. And more fond of the earlier EVOs. Is Andrew active on 4G?? Think a 3 is out of my range too.

Hey croket.

Sorry for late reply. I'm going to try and have a look at the EVO 4
first and see how that goes. I'll get back to you if I don't buy that
and may check your VR4 out. I'm sure it's a good strong car from
seeing what you where doing to that Galant GSR.

Also be very very wary of E4's in Australia.

Most are rebirths... as in an Australian Lancer shell has been used, and the E4 gear has been transferred in to.

First check will be what is the car actually registered as. For an E4, even in WA you really want it to be a yellow plate import.

Second obvious check would be that a CN9A number is stamped on the firewall. Even if it is crossed out it is at least a good sign that it was a genuine Evo 4 at some stage.

Third check and once again a registration or REVS check will show, see what colour the car was/is registered as and just see the vehicles history

Basically there are a number of ways that these vehicles can be re-birthed.

1) Bring in Evo, cut out firewall or section of firewall and weld on a standard lancer chassis number then register it as a Lancer <<< you do not want this one

2) Bring in Evo, acquire aus delivered standard lancer, transfer all evo components in to lancer the lancer chassis <<< this kind of car can be registered in WA depending on what process was followed at the time

3) Genuine Evo with a 6REP/6REV respamped chassis number <<< this is your best out of this bunch

Hey Guys.

Thanks for the extra advise. It has all ready been sold (the EVO 4). VR42LTs old VR4 is back up

for sale so hoping to look at that tomorrow if he doesn't sell it to another guy that's looking at it before me.

I'm trying to be patient and wait for a good car to come up hahaha but I'm starting to have ideas for my

GK Sigma daily driver ;)

What kind of a Build are we talking about Brian :))) ??
GSR EVO Running Gear perhaps and what kind of wait
time am I looking at hahahaha. Did you have an
nice GSR you wanted to sale anyway?? I could go a
tidy 4G93.

Once again thanks for all the info Wade. I offered $4500-$5500
said car is worth $8000-$10000. But will take $5500 for a quick
sale hahaha. Find out later today if he sold it to the other guy.
If not then I should be sitting behind the wheel on Saturday!!

I have a gsr with evo three kit that has a forged 4g93 It has been over pits and got a knock back for a brake hose. That one is very close to ready to go. But I'm out bush for 4 weeks. I can build what every 4g63 you want me to wild from parts I already have That would take awhile tho. At least 10 weeks
