if you have time and don't need parts quickly, theres a website (cant remember someone else will surely) that you can order parts as long as you know the part numbers from japan/Malaysia at a fraction of the price.

have used them heaps of times previously and always worked out heaps cheaper

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

The factory intercoolers are pretty good.... I'd think a bit harder about trying to make that work instead of swapping it for something else.  I think the effort you will go to trying to get the black one to fit and work properly would be better spent making the EVO one sit in there nicely.

If it's a fibre glass bar, spend a bit of time trimming it up to remove any fouls to the hardware behind it.

In regards to your gear shifter setup - please please please paint the rest of it too!  The base looks a bit neater but it's amazing what a difference some paint on the linkages and cable brackets will make (unless you're planning to put the centre console back in and cover it all up and then it won't matter!!)

Keep up the good work - I like how you're fixing/tidying up all the little things .

thanks for the info, regarding the shifter setup, i ran out of sand for my sand blaster so i didnt do the rest, i did it mainly to get rid of rust, not for any other reason but the centre console is back on

yeah my goal is to have just a nice daily car that is looked after but something i enjoy driving :)

I'd be careful of that clutch in a 'driven' car, regardless of power level. I believe it was the shock loads that destroyed the rubber dampers. 100% street would probably be ok. I'd think again if you intend on any track work at all. That plate I pictured above wouldn't have had any more than a few hundred track Km on it.

I'm not poo pooing it, you just asked about issues, so passed on mine.

Geez mate, looks more like a star picket than a rock!! Bad luck!

Might want to look at some form of protection if your on those types of roads. A piece of 100mm Aussie duct cut to size won't look any good, but will help to stop shit like that.

so if anyone can point me in the right direction for finding fuel lines, can i get them from an auto shop?, wrecker? will stock lancer ones fit or do i need 4g93t specific? is the correct name fuel line? are they all fuel lines, i know one definitely was as fuel was spraying out of it

is the floor able to be welded?
