Well ive had 2 on this car and they have both failed due to springs coming out. Either im unlucky or they just arent very good

They are shit. Mate had one in his evo 8 and it would lock him out at high revs...changed to something else...problem solved.
Will never use another one in any of my cars.

Does anyone here have any experience with ACT 2600 full face organic?

I've got one of those coming over from the states.

You can buy good clutches in AU, you just need to spend some $$. Lots and lots of rally guys use JB units, with very few complaining about them.

I spoke to him in person ^ a few years back. Nice as dude. He basically said Exedy is rubbish. Lol

He also said that Mitsu's could benefit greatly by using a modified input shaft with spigot bearing.

He advised me to get a high clamp force pressure plate to use with the revised Evo 3 friction disc that Meek sells.

That combo worked a treat in my old VR4 but I wasn't pushing huge power. He said anything over 250kW and that combo will start to wear quickly/slip.

the beauty of cushion buttons/pucked clutches is you can keep the pressure plate the same but get more clamping force so your clutch isn't any "heavier"

Well i previously had a 6 puck, had seen AT LEAST 5-6 years of use abuse, but when i put in the cushion button kit it was slipping, hense why i ended up pulling out the clutch and the pressure plate and then upgrading to one with nearly double the clamp force. Only trade off is the now it is a man pedal, not some poofy sponge-like pedal, also zero slip, for now.

No noticeable difference in driveability and so far has handled everything I have thrown at it.

Good point, he didn't state a torque figure.

Assuming 250kW @ 5,500 RPM = 434Nm. :-/

Idk but it was a good clutch for moderate power. I was just trying to pass on some of his wise words to you. Lol

How do you achieve greater clamping force using the same pressure plate? Is the friction disc a bit thicker or something?

Not exactly sure how it works but I assume its because the friction pads are seeing more pressure persquare cm than a full face does

This is what I put in my VR4. Heard so much praise by the few people who had found these clutches in the US
