i ran a 12.4 with 216hp at all 4 in my old gsr..

stock bottom end with td05-16g on 15psi with evo injectors, maf and computer. had a 2.5" zorst with a custom intake, was also running the evo fmic.

was launching it at 5000 rpm. both motor and box were getting old tho. so i didnt care to much if it died haha.

Hope that helps abit

also i think i was crossing at about the 110-115mph

here is a vid of the 12.4..

Replace the stock rods and you will sleep better at night. Unless you like the sound of your piston tapping your crank. Make sure that the oil holes are drilled right through in the small end of your forged rods, unlike I found out after having the press fit bushes machined!

with just a std 4g93T evo 16g turbo evo afm injectors and ecu with fmic and 3" exhaust i ran 13.6 with you standalone ecu i would suspect you to see low 13's possibly even a high 12.

With those mods and standard turbo you should get into the mid  to low 14's, maybe a bit quicker if you can get the launch right. I did a 15.14 and and 95.14 mph terminal speed with similar mods but my launches were rubbish (first time I had gone to the drags).

FYI, 3" turboback exhaust, ECM Link, xr6 intercooler, 15psi boost, standard AFM, standard injectors, standard turbo, standard internals, 131kw atw. You can do much better with those remaining standard external parts upgraded. Thats what I hope to do come the spring.

Of course if you forge... but then its no longer cheap bang for your buck. However if you don't forge it could be bang for your motor (you've gotta be careful)

awesome replys thanks!

I wouldnt need all the evo afm and injectors if im going the haltech ecu though, wouldnt they remove the afm and go map sensor? would 15psi be safe if im getting it tuned? im gonna be booking it in next week for it at casey automotive, i wanna see what it gets with the stock turbo then hit calder maybe week after.

Dave_GSR: that 95 mph is good for a low 14 easy, my vt ls1 did a 13.1 at 106mph

I'd upgrade the injectors just to be safe. But 15 is still safe. I was told after 16 is when you worry. But all depend on how the motor has been treated in the past.

Re "that 95 mph is good for a low 14 easy, my vt ls1 did a 13.1 at 106mph"

Thanks for the feedback, gives me hope!!

Re going to a MAP sensor with the Haltech, not sure about that, but you will need to upgrade the injectors, the standard GSR are too small for much in the way of power gains.

Re boost on standard engine, the consensus seems to be that you can run 15 psi without too much risk, I have been for 6 months, its when you start pushing past that that the problems start.
