Ok so maybe 3-5 seconds after starting the car yesterday it spluttered and died, did this the next 5 times after this as well. I tried revving it after starting and it just died at 2000rpm. IF it is the fuel pump I've decided I may as well upgrade it while I'm at it so what would be the best option? I don't need anything crazy just enough to support any future mild mods. Walbro? Bosch?

im not sure if its the best option but i run a walbro 255l pump (gss342)on my 4g93t, not a huge pump but will be able to handle some upgrades

its louder than a stock pump but walbros always have been. i dont know if the bosch is quieter?

just make sure you get a genuine one, not a knock off

it went in quiet easy and i was able to put the sock on it to make it a little quieter

Yeah that's what I had in mind, mainly because I don't know any other ones haha. Priced up a Mitsi replacement at $250 or some shiit. Think after market is cheaper? Unless trademe ones are knock offs

Walbro are the most common replacement and have been known to be capable up to around 280kw

Another option (which I'm using) is the Aeromotive 340, straight fit, dead quiet and e85 compatible.

Is it necessary to replace the fuel filter while replacing the pump as well?...or at all for that matter?

I dont think its necessary, but if it hasnt been changed in a long time it probably wouldnt hurt

Are you sure the spark plug leads are connected in the right firing order?

Yup. Had a blown coil pack. Replaced it with a new one and worked fine for the drive home but then crapped out again the next day. So what could be causing the coil pack to shit itself?

Bad connection to the crank angle sensor?? check to see if theres any broken wiring on the plug or any corrosion
