Hey guys, thought id chuck up my build... Progress will be slow until I pick up a new daily driver but I figure I can spread the cost of parts out, and it wont seem so expensive
Its basically a stock auto ssg with a 145,000kms, crap suspension and roof rust.. The goal is 400whp, manual and to put it on a serious diet.
I'm picking up a 6 bolt block and crank off a mate shortly, that will get sent off and built before christmas hopefully..
I'm going to run the head that's on my current motor, I have GSC S2 cams, GSC valve springs and Tomei cam gears.. Should have a new intake manifold for it shortly. Does anyone see a need to run larger valves? From what I have read I should get enough flow with the stock size
As for weight reduction, I figure there's 150kg+ in tyre carrier, sound deadening and seats to be removed. Fronts seats will get swapped out for something lighter. I may ditch the rear glass for lexan.
Currently chasing some evo 7 coilovers for the front, the rear will get what ever I can make work.
As for all the other bits and pieces I need, Ill work it out as I go, keeping an eye out for some good deals..
