United have stopped selling their P100. I used it exclusively. It really helped avoid pinging when my boost creeps . :(

ECMlink is in my future, but there are several other bits I need so I can fit it, so it's several pays away.

ECM Link, 399 MAF, 560cc injectors, 270 cams, TD05-20G @22psi, 3" dump, full 3" mandrel exhaust, intercooler, Fidanza alloy flywheel, 4 bolt LSD, EVO IV brakes, Strut braces, coil overs and sway bars.

My local one on the gold coast still sells it :D Filled up this morning

However they released a statement saying : "Our new Race Blend has a 107 Octane level." It is their new e85

It's still freely available up here in brissy. Perhaps they are phasing it out? Or just no longer selling it at your local united?

From United Facebook.

"I have been receiving a lot of messages regarding our Premium 100 fuel.

We are phasing out p100 and replacing it with Premium 98 .

Premium 98 is a new state of the art formulation that has been developed overseas and imported exclusively by United Petroleum. P98 is a high octane fuel, engineered to deliver a serious power and performance boost- no matter what car you drive.
We at United are pretty excited to release this fuel and hope our customers will be too. Keep your eyes out as they will be hitting our sites soon."

Why should I be excited to be able to purchase the same fuel as everywhere else, that is inferior?

You guys aren't going to believe this, but half way through a tank of their you beaut 98 my fuel pump died in the ass. I'm sure it's just coincidence....or is it.

I'm going the silver lining route and ordering an AEM 325lph E85 pump tomorrow seeing as I'm going to end up on it eventually.

I have killed 3 fuel pumps with United 100.. the fuel cleaned the tank and lines and the Pump sucked crap in... with new pump and filter.. its all good... 2 stock mitsu pumps and one Walbro in a Twin turbo commodore..

Dont be surprised if you guys kill a pump/strainer/filter when you run a fuel blended with ethanol, or update the usual parts before running it...

Now you tell me. :P

I found a supplier that I can get the AEM from overnight, and they are a little cheaper. My car is my daily drive, so I'm not planning on going bigger than a 20g or a 68hta to keep it streetable, and the AEM pump will keep me covered for that with some head room.

3 mods required to fit

1 cut off the oring receiver cup that the factory pump fits into

2 wire up the pump

3 slightly trim the rubber base foot that insulates the cradle/tank from vibrations (only required if you don't buy the fitting kit aswell)

OK you got me. I want this to go as easy as possible (car is not at my place), so I found someone who can overnight me one of these instead and it's on its way.

the install took me about an hour because i tried so many ways to install it without modifying the cradle (didn't wanna screw my daily) once i bit the bullet and dremmel'd off the cup section took me all of 15 minutes to complete. the brass/steel pipe is malleable enough to stick a screwdriver or flaring tool into to put a little bevel on it (to stop the hose backing off under pressure)

join the wires red to blue black to black

a small trim of the rubber foot yu can just see where i trimmed away (it'll be obvious with them both in-front of you or whoever is doing the work)

bolt the lower part of the cradle back into place and your done i was surprised at how well it fit. the pickup sits in exactly the oem location

here my response on the page

we the performance enthusiasts who use and love the p100 for exactly what it offers (higher octane rating) are not excited about you knocking 2 points off of the rated octane number. which is a non linear scale. those of us running our cars to their potential on this fuel will now have to remap and take a considerable hit to the timing advance we can run in our cars because of a perceived unpopularity of ethanol blended fuels. this is not the case, while yes we performance enthusiasts are more mindful of what we put in our tanks ethanol content should not be high on that list. especially if we are running a factory ecu or programmable ecu mapped for said fuel. factory ecu's are more than capable of adjustments to account for the miniscule change in afr's and programmable ecu's setup for it will have their target afr/maps already set for optimum operation on this fuel. p100 is what has set united petroliums premium blend apart from the other brands going back to 98 will only serve to drive your customers away. the factory ecu guys will just go to whoever is cheapest on the day and the programmable boys will tune to another fuel this maybe your 98 or it'll likely be a competitors who already has an established brand that others swear by that will sway the minds those who have to change.

I won't have access to a Dremmel 'on site'. Will a hack saw and a rat tail file for clean up do?

i started with a hacksaw blade make sure it's super fine cause there's not a lot of room to work with to get a good stroke going before i gave up on the blade because of it's teeth being to coarse and jamming.
