Jack am I missing something.. Apart from consolidation of multiple parcels, the actual postage cost will still be high right?
In the case of a single purchase.. for example, there are a pair of headlights I wish to buy.. now is there any cost benefit of using matesfreight parcel forwarding versus getting them sent directly from the seller?

If like fp have inflated transport costs then yes.
i think shipitto have built in post quote to give you some idea if you can guess dimensions
also, some places only ship with ups, but us post would be cheaper.
These guys give you several shipping options.
but if you ship via sea freight, you pay gst no matter what the value is
usps definately have a parcel quoting service online to check your seller is doing the right thing.

A pair of headlights would not fit in a usps medium flat rate box ($50 worldwide from memory).
or if the sender sends a fridge size box of packing with headlights in it. These guys can unpack and repack your goods more sensibly.

Surely if he asked the seller to pack them as economically as possible he would? If he wanted to sell the goods.

Like fp?
Sellers are pretty good i agree.
i just got 2 lights in and the box is approx 500x500x600.
i can measure if you want.
you know lights from usa will be rh dip and not much good here unless you fiddle them

Gotchya mate. I think I'll just get the seller to post them in this case, but yeah it would be handy if buying a heap of stuff at once or something over 1k.
If only I knew of this before.. Could have saved a bit! Cheers for posting.
