Hi guys,
My front springs are sagged and so I need to replace them with new ones.
They are too low now, so it's not legal in VIC.
I have temporarily replaced them with stock springs but would like to buy some replacement springs.
Anyone got any springs lying around the garage you would like to sell to me ?
I'm after good springs, namely kings or better that only drop the car 30mm . The next standard lowering amount of around 40mm is too low and the cross member sits just under 100mm off the ground.
I'm in melboune so call me if you have anything like what I'm looking for. I'd love coil overs but they're outs idly price range at the moment.
I'd take only fronts if that's all you have but if you have all 4 that's even better.

How far to low are the old springs?
Send them to a spring works (not pedders) a proper shop that can reset coil springs. Tell them to reset the springs however far you want and they will be pretty close. Amd cheaper than a set of kings.

They last for ages. Years.
My ute ones were reset maybe 4yr ago. They still pretty close to settings.
I had my centura rear coils done and they lasted till I sold it 8yrs easy.
If you have the kings removed, get them done as they are stronger than oem anyway.
Who says they sag? The new parts sales guy or the spring works guy? What use is the business if they sag in 2 weeks? The only springs my guy wont touch is the rear leaf on the jumbuck. They are a single tapered leaf and I suppose they cant load them evenly....maybe tapered coils cant be done either?
What if they last 3-4 yrs, that surely would tide you over.
how much do they want to reset a pair?

The spring works guy in moorabin told me that he couldn't guarantee they would not sag again.
Also he wants $70 a pair to reset.
The spring I have to be reset are Pedders or lovells springs.
Is one better than the other ?
