My loom diagramms show no idle switch on evo9 tps. So im very sorry to bring that up twice...you are correct.
But that means 1 free wire in the loom for something else.

Ah, yup, pin 67 (Evo3/GSR) is idle switch. On the Evo 7 ECU it's pin 87 and its the ACD/AYC Signal in.
Think I should disconnect the idle switch pin from the ECU? Probably doesn't bother it though, as I don't have the ACD/AYC hardware.

I've got that on my laptop actually. Haven't flashed anything else to the ECU because I've been having issues. Looks like the car is finally ready to be tuned Now though :)

If you want, I'll upload for you .bin i used on rvr runing evo 7 ecu and 90550001 tephra with all peripheries set correctly so there is no fault codes.

Thatd be great :) thanks

What MAF were you running?

RVR 787 maf.  Left evo 7 settings and played only with injectors. Got it running good. I think it was dynoed at 180kwatw.

just flash it and see if car runs fine. injectors are 560cc

btw: looks like I am not able to upload .bin file here

give me email or something

Awesome :)

Ive got the same MAF and Injectors, so it should run ok, only difference is the engine then.

my email is [email protected]

All sent.

make sure you take out your evo7base xml and 9055001 xml too. My xml may have a bit too much but use only defined items. ;)

Made a few tweaks, raised the "min coolant temp for closed loop" to 60 (up from 20).

Turned off all the ICS Stuff (dont have an ICS)

Turned off the Valet mode, have read that a lot of people have issues with it.

Enabled the rear o2 simulator (Dont have a rear o2)

Raised valet rev limit from 114 to 4000 (Apparently this is the issue, people cant start the car with valet mode engaged if this is set low)

Set the timing retard limit to 220 up from 188.

Tell me if any of that sounds really dumb before I go flashing it to my car :P

Enabled the rear o2 simulator (Dont have a rear o2) You don't need to do it. My evo doesn't have it. This is used only for cars having secondary o2 and if you want to disable it you turn this on so the ecu doesn't throw CEL. ;)

Raised valet rev limit from 114 to 4000 (Apparently this is the issue, people cant start the car with valet mode engaged if this is set low) I never had issues on my evo and I use it sometimes but in manual mode only.

Set the timing retard limit to 220 up from 188.  What for?

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers

So it wont throw a CEL because its not picking up a rear o2 signal? The Evo 7 ECU has inputs for the rear O2 (theres just no wires on that pin at the moment)

I wont be using the valet mode (no one else drives my car). Id rather it not cause issues so I pretty much just turned it off.

188 retardation limit allows only -10 degrees of timing. Setting it to 220 lets you get 15 or 20 out of it (Ill be playing with some mild antilag for launches at the drags to make sure the turbo's spooled. Hopefully..)

Evo7 bin can not be changed to run under -10 retard. You can set it to whatever it still won't go under -10. I run anti lag with -10 setting and what ever I do timing won't go under -10.  I think there is way to rewrite the code in the bin but I never found anything for it. For me -10 makes nice pops and bangs  :D

I did read something about changing the code (didnt touch it because Im not THAT confident in my abilities) but read an old thread about changing that max retard number, so I just did that. The 90550001 ROM I downloaded the first time had it set to 220 already, so I assumed it worked. Oh well, lets get the car driving first before I start f*cking with it :D

forgot to say,  watch the load cells because I bumped them up to 300 max load from 260 ;)  Don't copy paste from your tables if you have cells up to 260 only. You could copy paste every cell individually tho.

All good, I haven't figured out how to copy whole tables yet anyway, I do each cell individually by hand. I'll run that map as it is, should be ok shouldn't it?
Doubt my car gets to the 260-300 load cells anyway.

well I tuned it with wide band. the only question is how your car will work with that fuel settings for injectors. if you have evoscan than make sure that O2 reading is at full boost at least 0.91v because anything under that you're risking lean mixtures. ;)

cheers

o yea,

with copy paste. you open map than go file, select all and copy. go to map where you want to paste and go file , paste ;)  this can be done for whole map or what ever you highlight in map.

I could do pic by pic tutorial :)

Went for a drive did a few third gear pulls, only registered low counts of knock, not very often, which is good.

However whilst cruising the AFR's climb slowly, from the mid 15's, up to 19 or 20, the car starts to stutter and lose power. I had this issue on the standard Evo 7 ROM, solution was to change the MAF settings, so Im going to try that now.

Evoscan doesnt have integrated PLX Wideband logging yet, so at the moment im just looking at the graph on the gauge for anything alarming. until i can figure out how to log it to my Openport 2.0's SD card.

Funnily enough, the TPS DTC has come back again, yet im still getting a TPS reading (its still working) and theres no CEL.

Just noticed, your injector scaling is 552, standard i think is 542, think i should change it back?

Ill change the MAF stuff and give it a go after dinner :)

I'll go through your log but you should start looking at chasing fuel trims first before anything else.

Surprisingly the fuel trims werent too bad, they were like 25 before I changed my o2 sensor.

I cant change the scaling and smoothing tables :/

the units in the 90550001 ROM are Load (airflow Hz) and "units" whereas in the standard ROMS theyre load (units) and g/s. So I cant just copy the scaling and smoothing tables across. I did change the MAF Size though.

Any ideas on why the car is so jittery whilst cruising? AFR's get uncomfortably high then it starts to stall

It is just scaling. Just change it and than copy.
