Hi guys, just after some clarification on what rim width/ offset fit under the E5/6. As far as I understand, if I stick with 17" I can go as wide 9.5" with an offset of anywhere between +20 to +35 with no guard mods correct?
Now 18" I've had mixed opinions. Can I go 9.5" with a low offset say +20 or do I have to mod the guards regardless of offset if I want to go 9.5"?
And what exactly is involved in modifying the rear guards of a e5/6?

All the sizes above fit on a CP9A.

Fronts are usually fine, the issue is when you go lower in the rear. The rear has the plastic arch which can easily be trimmed to suit +20 offset on a 9.5" wheel.

BUT if you look behind the arch, there is a "double" lip. This would be where your tyres would hit. I've seen people completely remove this.

So... Many factors, you may be fine with a decent ride height, too low you may need stiffer springs or settings on dampers etc...

Ah ok cheers TMAK! I am running BC coil overs, so I guess I could adjust the height to suit the setup?
Don't know about completely removing the inner arch lip...seems a bit extreme.

Alternatively, playing it very safe but still filling out the guards I could go 9" with similar offsets which would clear no probs yes?

EVL20t so is that a screw off piece or did you have to hack at it with a flat head? And once you put the flare back on, it looks exactly the same? Structurally the same?
Looking at some 10" +25 that I'd love lol. How would 10" go all round? I'm guessing a fair bit of poke....?
