The only thing those type of products do is increase the compression on your credit card.

I can vouch for fixing a smokey engine with a liquid.

My vr4 Sat for a year after running e85.
Fired it up and it was smokey.

My guess was that the e85 hummed up the mineral oil I used.

The solution was by pouring an engine flush/ cleaner down the spark plug holes and letting it sit overnight. With the fluids down in the sump in the morning, plugs went back in and engine fired up. Oil drained and new oil put in. Smokey all gone.

If the issue is gummed up rings ↑ that might work, but if it's glazed bores causing the issue then it's deglazing time, and with all the effort in doing that it may as well be properly machined and rebuilt.

I've heard of a guy pouring washing powder down the guts of a carby on a shitbox burnout car while idling, then an oil change. Bought comp up and then he proceeded to destroy the tyres. He said it was to scuff the bores up. Obviously you wouldn't particularly do this in a normal car but none the less an interesting story

We had a old red 179 that was smoky. We put a brick on accelerator while it was running and poured 1c pieces down carby. It cured the smoky engine.....
