G'day. First competitive stage for a new co-driver, Mikayla. Slippery in parts but great fun.

We won the Multi-Club Rally.

Cheers

Ross

Are you both not wearing HANS devices?

If you don't have one get one. Doesn't restrict you that much and if you hit a tree etc with certainly assist your neck. Check out this video for a comparision

CAMS has deals and you can also get them from QR cheaply.

Hypo, I would not but a fuckin' hotdog from CAMS.

I pay for my licence so I can rally.

CAMS mandated the use of a head and neck restraint; so if one wants to run in the QRC you have to wear one; then they offered the fuckin' things for sale. Pigs arse you are kidding me.

I know rallying is dangerous, I have written off two cars. I also feel the $900-$1000 spent on a head and neck restraint, would for me be better spent on tyres and maintenance of my car. When I decide I need a head and neck restraint I will buy the Simpson type as I think the Schroth HANS is better suited to track drivers. The major percentage of rally incidents are oblique to the long axis of the car and if there is a straight on it is usually on the recovery and much of the speed is gone. The Simpson is better for that type of incident than the Schroth type.

Cheers

Ross
