My cars window surrounds have faded so bad that they are actually showing body colour instead. Going to repaint myself but need to know if they were gloss black or matt black. I suspect matt but hard to figure out, any ideas?

My coupe has bodycolour surrounds, my mate's coupe had black surrounds.

U could either paint them black again or cut back the black maybe buff the body colour

They are 100% black on an Evo or GSR mate.

My 94 GSR is body colour. And I can't find any evidence of it being sprayed over or a respray.
But most I see are black though.

perhaps black is an option or many people respray them black because it looks beter and matches the trim
