rough estimate of how much a E85 conversion cost? Anyone have a basic idea?
Just done this now...
If you get 2000cc injectors new ... About $600
Will need new fuel rail ... Not sure if the ebay cheap ones will work but if do ... $100
Halltech Flex Fuel adaptor .. About $226
Sard FPR (if you don't have one) ... About $200
Braided lines & fittings to do whole thing ... About $500
After market ECU reflash (if required) ... About $200
Then comes tuning it... Some places will charge $1,500 just for a tune ... Depending on what you are running.
So you are looking at what ... $1,826 in parts ... + labour + tune ...
I wish that is all my last mods cost me, but all up, I am down $5k+ ...
I'm running purely on E85, not flex fuel but I didn't do FPR, Braided lines or fuel rail - these aren't necessities.
Fancy fittings are great, but money can be spent elsewhere.
Yeah, much prefer to go down the worse case scenario for pricing, and plan for future... So you don't have to come back and do things.
I was deciding between rubber and braided... Or even mixing the two.. But for the little bit extra, thought it was worth it...
I was considering changing hoses over also, but my tuner advised that the standard lines would be fine - Mick from Mick's Motorsport as a matter of fact...

I am the king of overkill ...
Car goes in for a PWR radiator as I blew the stock one... Nek minnit ... $5k+ worth of parts purchased and installed...
