vibration under deceleration

Hi guys
Im having a major vibration when im on the free way everytime i take my foot off the gas i get a vrrr vrrr vrrr vrrr rotaional vibratio ..... felt my uni joints,replaced roll mounts,diff doesnt have any play at the tail shaft but i did notice my tranafer case seems to rattle .... is that normal? Any input would be great ive only owned the car for around a month and its done it since i bought it but now im slightly starting to hear it under acceleration. .....


HELP!!!!!
Its my daily i need it running hahaha

I don't believe your transfer should have any play matey....
When you say rattle, do you mean in the case itself or it seems loose?

Inside the case itself .... i dont think it should have play either hahaha im just trying to diagnose before outlaying cash hahaha

Sorry dude, my transfer has no noticeable noises at all.....
I'm sure one of the gurus here will pop up any sec.
I don't think a transfer rebuild is the end of the world though.
Recommend just park it up before more damage is done and I am certain someone who is in the know will provide you a solution of sorts.

You should look into your tail shaft angles. Decel is off load therefore the tail shaft will change in angle and may require some shimming of the mounts to suit.

Would this cause a violent vibration that is rotational? the vinration im chasing is there for a second then gone then there then gone but its only there if im in gear .... if i put the clutch in then the noise goes

This proofs what Clutz said. Had the same problem on my Vr4.

Only does it once the car has been driving for 10 minutes or so...... if it was a clutch wouldn't it do it always?

Cool, ta, curious because I have had vibration at certain speeds, none at the moment so just keeping an eye on it, and so interested in others peoples experiences.

I had a vibration for a while which ended up being one of cv cups had worn and the shaft was flapping around in it, new cup and or shaft ( can't remember ) and it was fine.
