last two picks showing intercooler piping your col side probably wont work to well when you try to put a afm and intake back on it

try and get it to follow the profile of the gearbox a bit more

Why won't it work well mate ? And I'll have all that room will be puttiby the battery in the boot and having a cold air box made when I have time it will have the airflow meter bolted to it and sealed off and will have a cold feed with around a 4 inch hole with stainless mesh covering the hole so the podfilter will breath nice cool air then will be running piping to suit the intake on the turbo

the fact that the pipe runs straight through where your going to want to put your pre-turbo piping is why.

stock piping route is around and under the guard up under where battery tray is then up over gearbox following gearbox profile to throttle body. going in where you have will work fine but you are IMO going to need a bend or two to allow room for the other piping.

i suspect you hot side is going to go under the turbo across the front and into the other side of the intercooler?

heres how mine looks

2.5" piping all through except the firt small straight section over the mani
with the stock intake in place following the gearbox line is essential. if you bring the afm forward in the batery area you will still have a direct conflict with your current route.

my advice come around to under the guard and got throught there come in far enough to clear the rail and everything about mid point on the gearbox turn up then either turn to go straight across the gearbox then up to throttle this way allows stock pre turbo intake

else follow same to mid gearbox and turn to go stright at throttle for aftermarket pre turbo intake either way is fine but atm i don't see much clearance for piping or consideration for BOV etc

Yeah that looks alright mate I'll have to have a look I'm fairly sure the way I have it should work I wasn't planning on a blow off valve don't mind abit of dose when the throtle shuts and cleans the filter :P haha I don't like the idea running intercooler piping over the exhaust to me doesn't look the goods I guess and I see you went out wider the piping I had purchased wouldn't have been enough I doubt but I'll have a look and if it works I'll give it a go mines 2.75 inch piping but I need a few more bits anyways but appreciate the info I'll give it a go

This thread is going off in a pretty weird tangent here. Are we talking about a GT turbo on a 4G93T or how you wasted a ton of cash on a 6G74 when you could have just sprayed a 50 shot

i love how honest dre is. lol.

back on topic, there is an evo 1 motor for sale, good power upgrade...

Long answer yes with alot of work. Short answer no if you just want bolt it up.

The hr is orientated in the opposite direction to ours so to fit it useing factory positioned intake parts youd have to mount it backwards which will give you clearence issues with the radiator

Yeah but they have a much larger area where the runners merge than this one does. Turbulance could be an issue too. Where's the external gate going to be placed?
