Just a few images of my Evo I Lancer. The OZ Ultraleggerra Wheels are for sale as are the Victorian "EVOI" plates displayed on the car. I'm open to genuine offers. Here is the link for the retail price of the OZ Wheels in Sydney.

http://www.speedline...d086781a6f5753d

The wheels are fitted with 215/40/17 Roadworthy Hankook tyres. One wheel has slight gutter rash that can be sanded out, One other wheel has about 10cm of gutter rash. The other two wheels are perfect. I am looking for genuine offers as the wheels themselves are made in Italy & retail for $554 each, without tyres. Selling for $1600 or Best Offer.

The Victorian "EVOI" plates are also for sale & I am asking $1200. They are quite exceptional plates. Again I will accept genuine offers.

I purchased the car from the person that imported it from Japan 15 years ago. It has 43mm Ohlins Front & Rear Shocks with 22 levels of adjustment. The new 18" x 7.5" Lenso Concept Five Wheels look awesome now that they have been powder coated all white including the outer rim. I will attach some images once I have put the centre caps back on. Wheels are running 215/35/18 tyres.Super Happy.

Many Thanks.

Hey bud, welcome to the forum! I was lucky enough to check this car out in person at SIVART's workshop. She's pretty sweet for it's age!  Also nice to see an EVO 1 without an EVO 3 kit these days (please tell me you aren't thinking about it! :P)

I have a set of original EVO 1 wheels I might let go, so if you are interested feel free to send me a PM

Such a clean example, I saw this at SIVART's old workshop too.  Was really really tempted by it too but didn't have the funds at the time (probably a good thing!)

I reckon the stock E1 rims will look great on it, or even a set of Tarmacs (white on white Tarmacs = awesome).

That Evo III looks mad. I just love the Rear Wing but don't want to change my cars "Originality" I mean value wise it would have to be more "Collectable" in the future if the bodywork is all original Evo I, Does anyone agree?

I think you are spot-on with your thinking and am really glad to hear you say that.  But at the same time it's your car and you should enjoy it any which way you choose.  If you really like the EVO3 rear wing look, it would be easy enough to get another bootlid and spoiler setup and use that instead of changing/getting rid of your existing one.  Anything you do that can be reversed to return the car to its original condition is a "harmless" modification IMO.

I'm lucky - my car isn't anything rare or collectable, it's a run-of-the-mill Lancer Coupe so I can drill holes, cut bits out, generally mess with it and nobody really cares!

They were my thoughts exactly. Don't get me wrong I do love the Evo 3 but at the same time I like being different from everyone else. The whole Boot & Rear Evo III Wing would definitely be the least invasive way to go so that would obviously be the way to do it. It certainly gives me something to think about. I like the fact that I do have the original Evo I, the first of any series of car is a nice thing. I realize that both the Evo II & III have various upgrades that the Evo I lacks but I like the viscous LSD that the Evo 1 comes with. It's funny because I read an article in a magazine written by Ed Ordynski, 8 time Rally Australia Group N winner, which included six in a row. Not bad for a round of the WRC. He evaluated all the Mitsubishi Evo's he'd driven competitively which was all of them 1 through to 10 & he concluded that his absolute favourite was the Evolution II. His reasoning being "The outright pace of the car" because after the Evo II the World Rally Committee deemed that speeds were becoming to high on some WRC stages & introduced a mandatory 34mm inlet restrictor for all turbo vehicles. He declared that overall the Evo II was his favourite because of outright pace, handling, reliability & driveability. He prefered the earlier cars over the later models because he was never a big fan of all the electronic driver aids.

So I guess everyone has their opinions & opinions can't be wrong. They form no basis for factuality but are still great all the same. Thanks for your comments they have been both logical & sensible. I'm really glad I joined this forum & your acceptance is greatly appreciated.

I like the softer front treatment of the evo 1-2.

Nice car, very clean.

I like the above suggestions about going back to the stock OZ Racing wheels or Tarmacs (If you can find a set, that is) I wouldn't mind finding another Tarmac so I have a spare, but almost not worth trying to find as a one off, would be so hard.

That body is in great condition.  Has it already had the roof rust fixed?  I thought mine might escape unscathed - but alas no luck!  I''m about to get my roof done soon.

I like how you are keeping it original - I am with mine too.
