Ok then thought I better start one of these before I get to far along and decide is to hard and before I go buy wrong or un needed parts.

I brougt a vr4 a couple mouths back. Some of you may know it, VR4 SUM. I know one of the former owner's didn't have the best repurtation, I how ever like to think mine is alot better. Now with that out of the way, the car doesn't go ive done a comp test witch is relly low,
Dry 90 80 40 60
Wet 100 95 40 60
And done a leak down test and it seems as rings and h/g are stuft + possably more.
While weighing up my options a 64-63 come up for sale so Ive got that to put in. This is what Ive been told about engine ( copyed and pasted cause im lazy) some yet to conferm but hoping all is as ment to be.
Start with block...Ross racing forge piston n etc,par forge conrods, balance shaft removal kit,4g64 knife edge, shock pin ,balance, strengthen n polish crank shaft..4g64 block crack test bore n hone n painted...modified oil sump. Head..port polish flow test mechine for over size valve..hks 272cam valve valve springs titanium retainer lifters cam gear hks head gasket ralliart timing belt n racetorque blue rocket cover AND racetorque sticker badge.

No sump or timing belt come with it but just noticed now while reading ova list that it come with one. So will be looking into that as it was somthing I was going to ask you guys about.

Mods alreddy done to the car that I know of are:~
Motor-FPR, boost tap, external wast gate, pod filter, battry relocated, turbo timer, tdo5
Body- f/g e3 boot spoiler, d2 coilovers, 17" mags ( dont know bread) bucket sets
Have also brought s/s extractirs with eexternal gate with t25 flange and tdo5 adaptor. N twin plate os giken clutch

Things im going to need you guys help-advice on:~
Sump
Timing belt
Clutch fork
Mounting points, been told its acturly a Hyundai block. Is it going to bolt straight in?
Engine managment.
Witch plugs to use.
What injectors to use. Ive got sime e8 ones laying around will these be any good?

Will edit when I think of more.
If you know of any tricks or tips that will help, would be gratly appreciated.

Note plenum in pic is incorect. Its for small ports and will be up for sale or swap for correct one.

You bewty....
yea, your belt may be too short. Apparently you can modify the tensioner arm to allow the short belt to fit. I havent done it.
Or you need to order a belt for a twin cam g64. They were a usa only thing so it will come from there. Its like a 1989 gsx or something. So your cams will be out also as you have 6mm extra deck height. Lots of info on this on dsm usa forums

Yep sonata 2.4
Good stuff.

if it has a sonata head, the ports are slightly smaller than a vr4. The vr4 has sort of a taper in the ports in the last 1/4" that the sonata doesnt have. I think you have both so you can compare anyway. My point is that if you run a vr4 intake, you def need to do some port matching. Tho i think i would epoxy the intake a bit smaller rather than take the head out to vr4 size

Took me back 15 years to NZ when I seen the pics of your new ride. So many VR4's rolling around at that time in Auckland with the same lowered on 17's, front mount, evo bonnet vents and wing look! lol I'll be following your build with much anticipation!

^yea man, old school nz styles hard, this guy I went to school with, Tony, made the mould for the evo 4 style bar to suit the vr4s, he was massive wanker, and was responsible for that too,

nice project there, I reckon you'll get haltech mentioned a few times, 560cc inj might be ok to get running, but are gunna limit ya power, are you looking at e85?

anyway look forward to seeing this move along, should be a bit of a weapon when ya done
