A mate has a 10 sec xr6 turbo.

High stall, 3 speed.

Great for racing.  Sucks for daily.

High revs just to start moving.

This will be your life Benzo. Jus sayin' :P

I've just bought a galant GSR auto.

Will these TCU's work?

I'll be doing a direct transfer of the auto drivetrain into the AMG just to get the auto wiring/shifter/mounts etc sorted before I get a built RVR auto and use that.

F4A31 is the box.

There is 1g boxes and 2g. 2 plug tcu and 3.
The 1g box is a 4sp the 2g box is a 3sp and lockup converter. The rvr is a 1g box (with 2g style roll stop mounts) but i think it uses a later style tcu. So thats why i think a 1.5 ce lancer tcu may fit (along with 1.5 higher shift points. But maybe it needs a older tcu so the galant (or magna tn is a chance)

2 blocks please, if you see them. I have 4 ports on my cylinder and only 2 on the new one. So i need to tpiece the lines.
i think all abs masters must have 2 ports as the abs unit divides the pressure.

I have no real idea about the tcu. I dunno if the rvr has a 2 or 3 plug tcu (and my tcu is 1200km away for another few days), or what format the magna/lancer tcu other than the ones pictured on ebay. And i dont have anything to test them on. We need a guinea pig rvr and a few tcu to test out.

Full throttle upchanges on a 1.5 should be quite high.

This is some more info, it might be useless..I found a July build, 92 e-prom, two plug TCU today..It came out of a FWD non-turbo car..The serial # is only one digit off from my 93 non-eprom AWD TCU..I tried it in my 93 and it works..The 2-3 shift is about 2500 and 3500 under normal accelleration...My 93 awd tcu shifts at 5000 and 4200 on the 2-3 under normal accelleration..Huge difference..Don't know if its good or bad..I took it back out without a WOT pull, the difference worried me...I'm going to get it socketed and go see my tuner...I'll keep you posted..

Guy on dsm talk said this^ here:

http://www.dsmtalk.c...s/186535?page=1

so he says a different 2plug tcu works. In later posts he says he got it tuned for custom shift points. But then a month later he wants 3plug tcu wiring info...it seems maybe he trying to run a 3plug tcu in a 2plug car. After that- dunno

Different post says cant use fwd tcu in awd as they fault code from the different ratios. Not sure if this could be chipped out or not.

I was reading that the 2 plug tcu wont do dual maps without a daughter board. I dont know what the pwr/econ switch does then

HSG TCU is 2 plugs and Aldo has dual maps. One chip with two bins written on it and external switch added.

Pwr/econ swich switches between two maps on single chip. HSG has two maps for shifting and line pressure but it never uses two because it doesn't have a switch.

I thought it had dual maps, after all thats what power/economy is really. I looked for the site but cant find it. It was a business that did tcu chips and all.

plenty of mention of dave at foreignmuscle.com but he has moved sites.
He has some good tech, here is 2 and 3 plug wiring pinouts. Looks like you can rewire a 2 into a 3 plug tcu os viceversa:

HSG doesn't have pwr/eco switch, only HOLD and it actually holds the gears if you select manually from 1 to D or if left in drive with it switched, car takes of in second and into 4th being made for snow conditions where you don't want too much torque for wheels to spin.

So a little bit of an update my T/C is flaring and "loose" won't run over 308awkw.... Tuner even lowered the boost down to 21psi, need to find someone that can make one that works properly for my setup....that being said off the mark full boost at 3200rpm stall and brakes can't hold me (even brembos) and rolling 80kms full boost as soon as i floor it

Just did Temora 1000 only got one good run in ( missed one from alternator belt fail, then had a plug obliterate itself) Went well 21 second time with a top of 226kph

Box performed flawlessly all changes firm with no slip even 4th gear held at full noise.

Once the T/C is fixed I should be able to reach higher power and continue to accelerate at higher speeds.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
