they will depending on the wheel that you have.

brembos off the later models are on a 320mm rotor and the rotor is thicker and the caliper is larger

Thinking about going the willwood setup would 17s clear 316mm rotors

Mate had their kit on an FTO.. Only problem was when you need replacement rotors.. Very expensive..

arent they just the large 3000gt ones?

like these?    http://www.ebay.com....=item3ceb386603

then at worst $80-100 to have them rederilled by a pro

Not sure.. But my mate that had them on his FTO ended up doing a brembo conversion which worked out cheaper..

Think he ditched the Willwood stuff in the bin..

I've got the superlites and two piece 316mm rotors on mine I'm currently running 18s with heaps of room but about to go to 17s for drag radials. Should fit but the calliper gets close so prob only fit certain rims.

if brembos will clear the wheel you can redrill the rotor to 4 stud and get an adaptor from racefab in NZ

Hi Guys, Stewart at FreakyParts.

Spotted this post and thought I'd answer a few of the questions.

The 316mm kit comes with a pair do 316x28mm cast rotors. The cost for replacements is around £125.00 plus shipping, but you can source locally if you like. They're the same discs found on the Mercedes C36 AMG MY94-98. They just need the PCD redrilling to 4x114.3. Any local machine shop can do this for a small charge.

The 2 piece 309x32mm kit comes with a pair of Wilwood 160-5843/4 UL Straight vained rotors. These are around £75.00 each for replacements.

We also offer an upgrade to the HD (high carbon content) rotors for ultimate performance for an extra £100.00 on top of the kit. Replacement rotors for this kit are around £125.00 each.

Both are a direct bolt on kit for the early Evo, and don't need new wheels buying to change the PCD to 5 stud.

The kits will fit behind most 16" Motorsport wheels and most 17" road wheels.

We've stayed away from adapting the later Brembos to fit the car as it requires machining the calipers. In our view this is not ideal as if this fails, we'll be liable. We'd rather supply a tried and tested kit which fits rather than bodging something to make it fit.

If you have your heart set on Brembos, we also do the big red Brembo (style) upgrade. This uses new Porsche radial mount calipers, but are un-branded (due to licencing restrictions). These are beasts and can be made to fit any disc you want. We package it with a set of 316x28mm but if you have something specific, we design our kits in-house so can make something to suit your requirements.

You any ideas who or what this kit was? We've sold a few kits down under and not had any issues with customers replacing the parts as far as I know. We make the 1 piece kits with off-the-shelf discs which should be available world-wide. The 2 piece kits use Wilwood kit so if you have a local distributor, they can supply and we'll let you know the part numbers. We're not one of those manufacturers who keep all the spec details to themselves and insist you buy replacements from us - it's not logistically possible when you're 10,000 miles away!

Not sure .. Think it was a 2 piece.. I was going to take them off his hands, but was advised there would be an issue with getting the rotors, or not so much an issue with getting them, but the prices to source... So passed..

Not too sure we have sold any 2 piece kits for the FTO. You sure it was from FreakyParts?

The most common kit we did for that was the Dynalite kit with 294mm Evo4 front discs.

Wheel choice is more the limiting factor with larger brakes on the early evo/gsr.

Especially if you are like me and do not want to run spacers.

I have about 3mm clearance with Wilwood 6 piston calipers(these are there narrow version) without spacers on 13" x 1.1" discs

Also converted rears to 4 piston, with internal drum handbrake setup.

We can do the kit with 298x32mm 2 piece discs which will fit under Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s.
As the brake kits have been designed in-house, we've made every effort to pull the caliper and rotor assembly as far inboard as possible to increase caliper to spoke clearance.

Spacers aren't usually an issue either. We make these also in any thickness required. Using bolt on spacers is as good as using a lower offset wheel for clearance. We've been running them on 10 race cars over here for around 4 seasons with no noticeable increased wear on other components.
The extra 40mm of track has improved the handling over stock cars. But with mods like that I apreciate some don't like fitting them.

Ah yes, Ben :)

That was a good few years ago! Back then I believe it would have been the Dynalite kit as we didn't really start doing the 2 piece Superlite kit until 2011 and his order was a good few years before then.

Can you guys source the Evo4 294mm front discs? I have a feeling they weren't as common over in Australia 10 years ago which may have been the issue.

evo 4 are easy to find, mitsubishi 380s run the same size disk too (actually from memory they may be 30mm thick not 28mm)
